Big spec 200 Cup *FOR SALE*

It kinda is direct port that way..... early efi systems originally had single port injection. Fuel was injected after the throttle body by a single injector.

Meth nozzles can be mounted anywhere between the MAF and ports.

I think with pre will help with swirl/mixture. Post tb could direct to the closest ports

Had a good night on the car tonight. As it's pretty much gone past the point of no return now I've been removing all the brackets that aren't needed, made a couple of wonky carbon plates to hide some holes, fitted the scan guage and fitted the bonnet vents! Also got a promising pic from my mate so hopefully only a few weeks until the engines finished. Few more hours again today. New air filter location with some new pipe work. Bit of bumper butchery behind but fits perfectly. Just need to make a few brackets to steady it.
After seeing the quick release bumper catches on Pitas build thread I had to have some! So much easier.
Pinched some grip tape from a friend for the drivers foot plate. Going to fit some black stretch carpet under it tomorrow to neaten it up.

Not updated the thread for a while so here goes it. Couldn't get on with the SW footplate so ended up selling that and fitting the rentune one from Pure and it's much better, perfect fit and the foot rest is perfectly positioned and much larger than the SW version.
Had the map tweaked maybe a month ago now to suit the new fuel system and rebuilt charger, it made just shy of 310 hp. Slightly more than before.
And a new seat!

310, surely?
I need one of those Rentune foot plates in my life but they’re sold out

The first May bank holiday Monday a few of us went to Croft and stayed over on the Sunday ready for Monday. What an absolute washout!!! I've never been so wet. The car was awesome with the Michelin wets tho otherwise it would of been a very expensive wasted weekend. Gobsmacked at the amount of grip they give!!! . . .

And we've just got back from a full weekend at Blyton Park. Polar opposite weather wise! It's the first time the cars been out in 20+degrees and the water temp was up over 115 degrees in no time without me realising until the warning came on the dash! It's always ran on the cool side so was not expecting it. Unfortunately the boss for my engine oil temp sensor is in the sump on the new engine so didn't know the oil temp. It could be numerous things causing it but I'm going to fit an oil cooler with a stat to the side of the rad and properly fence the rad and cooler in behind the bumper to direct the air flow through them. Luckily the chaps at Javelin let me run without my front bumper for the weekend, it looked beyond ridiculous but hey ho!
Then today the flexi gave in making it sound like a tractor and was shockingly noisy inside so had to call it a day around 2pm but managed a 1:12.4 on my last run so happy days!

Looking at it check your fan is not blowing against the normal airflow and the radiator has a lot of airflow obstructions in front of it. You might have to run with a manual fan switch to act early against the water temperature rise a lot of people with the Megane engine conversion have a wiring problem running fans in reverse but I know yours is a supercharger.

Its running the correct way but I will be fitting a new one behind instead, I tried running without the filter aswel for a few laps

Try this calculator you might get away with a smaller air filter or T it off into two smaller filters using the space in front of the alternator maybe blocking that space might help force more air through the radiator and pulling the rubber seal might give better heat draw from the engine bay.

:smirk: It's a decent SC setup

Some ideas can be considered here to improve the air flow & heat management:

1. Switching to Open top cone air filter and re-position it facing the front with shorting the intake pipe (some customization will be required)

2. Alloy Radiator for more coolant capacity (Direnza or Toyo). I wonder if a Megane 225 radiator can be considered here. however, that will need to chop off some of the plastics in order to fit in due to it's size

3. Shrouds to direct air flow. for both radiator & the intercooler

Trying my "artistic" work for better explanation

As you chaps mentioned above I moved the filter back - directly to the intake of the charger for now, made some cad (cardboard) templates to fence the rad in and got some ally/plastic sheet used for making signs. Bonded round the rad and some brackets to the crash bar. No pics but I cut the middle of the crash bar out as well. 88451B22-3925-469B-AA3E-A42A58601AE9.jpegAE259AE4-A0F8-43C9-97F3-03C9D476B3D4.jpeg8690940E-A864-4EF3-BF4D-A586D7F0983C.jpeg
