197 - Spring Change

Guys,

I know this has been covered loads of times and I have read lots of info.

I have a 2006 - Clio 197.

Always wanted coilovers, but for road use and first stage, I have decided to go with springs.

It's just for looks as I think its always sat abit high for my liking.

What are my options?

H&R seem to be popular? I saw a recent post for Eibach's that have been fitted.

What is the ceapest place to get a set?

Do people just change the springs? Or should other components be changed.

Presume I can just use my standard 2006 dampers?

Thanks in advance
JAM.

Hi mate,
For the springs, it really depends on how much you want the car to drop as all makes, have different drops. I wanted the 40mm all round by h&r but I heard the had stopped making them and couldn't get them.
You should be okay using the dampers you have ( I've used mine and its an 07 which are fine atm 'touch wood')

The eibachs were pretty much perfect IMO if you're just wanting springs. They give a nice drop, tidy up the body roll and still ride nearly as well as full fat springs! Eibach make quality stuff

You may want to consider that you may need to change tie bars and track rid ends etc as that is going to cost me around £200 on top of the garage labour

Think I got my eibachs from demontweaks but not sure where current cheapest place is. Think the drop is 20mm front, 25mm rear
