197 Servicing around Manchester?

Cars due a service, its on about 82k so as far as I know its just an oil and filter change and it had the big 72k service before I bought it.

Could do it myself but my car has perfect and very thorough service history, so I need to continue this trend really. The cars always gone to either renault or a renault sport specialist in Wales. But I need something closer to home really.

Anybody know of any renault sport specialist around Manchester?

If not i'll probably just take it to my local MOT place as I trust them to work on it anyway.

Also can anybody confirm whats needed on this 82k service? Is it worth me getting spark plugs done if they were done at 72k?

Just had quotes from my local MOT place.

Full Service which includes: Oil/filter, air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs. Then take all wheels off, check car over, clean/adjust brakes, grease moving parts where required and do tyre pressures. Thats £180 inc VAT.

Interim Service includes: Oil/Filter and Air filter is £90 in VAT.

I thought it'd only need the interim service, but apparently since its covered 10k miles since its last service they reckon its closer to needing a full service.

This is more than I thought it would be tbh. Not sure what to do now as I can buy Oil and a filter for £30, spark plugs for about £15, air filter I don't need as i've got an induction kit. and I could do the service myself if I could find the time over the weekend!

But how this will effect my cars value I don't know. Just a bit concerned that the service history will be perfect, up until the point where I buy the car then it'll drop off as its been self serviced...

SC Auto Electrics in Bolton in our traders section, be warned you may end up wanting a meg conversion by the time youve finished there....

These cars are pretty cheap now anyway tbh, so I don't think not documenting 1 service will do any harm. Just keep receipts and take pictures of the parts etc next to the car showing the Numberplate.

And just take pictures as you go along.

Id save the money and do it yourself.

Ahh yeah forgot about SC, hes only 20 mins from me! I'll get a price from him. Birchdown looks good but their an hour from me so a bit far.

I'm unsure about what servicing itself would do to the cars value tbh. As an example say I keep the car for another 3 years, by which point it'd be on around 110k miles and probably not worth much anyway. Paying for a service vs doing it myself is about £150 difference, so £450 i'd of spent over 3 years. Would my car be worth £450 in 3 years time if I had full garage service history.... i'm not sure!

Can anyone confirm what the car needs doing at an 82k service? This is 10k after the big cambelt service was done.
