197 exhaust tips but not usual question...

got the ebay exhaust tips fitted today quickly, went for a quick spin, decided to remove and refit
with a clamp,
on removing some liquid came out is this usual?
also once car had been turned off fumes were still visibly escaping the tips, ?

Pretty normal.

Water will no doubt get into a clamped-on tip. The fumes are partly the water being evaporated by the hot exhaust and partly exhaust gases still working their way through the system.

Ye, as has been said, will be water vapour.

On a quick spin the exhaust won't get hot enough for the water to evaporate too I think.
