£1300 to spend, Opinions needed!

Morning all.

Looking at buying some coilovers for the car but just cant decide between two kits, seeing as i have little experience with both makes and designs i was hoping someone could shed some light on it...

So heres the first kit: http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2411&pic=3

Its the cheaper of the two options, but has fixed damping, which isnt much of a problem cos i dont really know how to adjust that anyway.

But heres the second kit: http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2442&pic=1

It's much more top of the range stuff, very flash. It has fully adjustable damping but do i really need that??? And apparently KW are a better quality build too.

Any input or opinions would be appreicated, thanks!

Go for the KW V3, 2 of my friends have them on their 197 - AWESOME!

These coilovers when adjusted properly are actually smoother than the stock suspension and I don't even need to say how much they are better (one has R27 and one has a "classic" 197).

KW V3 will definitely be my next move when it comes to suspension!

Thanks all for insights, alot more helpful than the Cliosport goons lol.

Made a decision and results will be posted up soon...

youve done your brakes - so thats out

your doing the suspension so i would say - better stickier tyres

then you can brake later / turn in harder / accelerate sooner

Weitecs more for the VW scene isnt it, more specific on getting the car as low as possible rather than performance... i believe.

if I were fitting coil overs to the 197 I'd be going with KW's. Everyone I spoke to that has them says they are awesome. I'd have brought them for the 182 if they did them for our model :worried:

Also another option but they want £1500 for their 197 kit!

Although i've been told by others that AST are the daddys in suspension setups...

Is this track bias or a road kit ?

Ohlins do the tarmac and gravel kit for the R3 the tarmac kit would be well worth the money.
