The car was back in the garage today, turns out they were supplied the wrong bottom pulley. Shame i had to find the issue myself but pleased it done now. The garage didn't handle it great but in fairness to them the car drives lovely since they corrected the timing with the belt change.

Oh I see, ha, I'm hoping the noise is coming from that pulley. Or at least something to do with how they've fitted it.

I guess you can't see it with the belt covers on. I'm hoping they replaced it as they replaced the aux tensioner.

Today the garage are talking about trying another dephaser. Which isn't great as I had to provide it in the first place as they couldn't get one..so I'll have to pay for another dephaser and the labour. Could this sound be caused by the dephaser?

I've been under the car today, turns out the lower engine mount has been poly bushed and in such a way that the mount is at an angle rather than horizontal. I've ordered a new oem one. I also disconnected the stabiliser bar as that has the power flex bushes and it was better again.
