I think the head got rebuild last year along with the rest of the engine.

So I spoke to Chris today from BeanieSport, very nice guy, and he is going to collect the car for me and see why the engine let go the way it did, hopefully we can get a replacement engine into the car at some point and get the Clio up and running again which would be great.

The seller specifically said it had been rebuilt by BeanieSport and I have a record of are discussion and him given me a car specification and the work that had been carried out on the car, when we discussed who did the engine rebuild I was specific on who did it and when, and at what milage...

The seller said he did not have a receipt for the work completed and was waiting for the guy at BeanieSport to supply a receipt which I thought this was, I have just notice on the form there was no reference to the car REG.

Yeah I agree the engine build looks good, and the head had been done as well so yeah, just unlucky my end.

It's in the garage at the moment, I have not got the time to deal with it as I'm to bussy with work, and the sound the engine is making, it just sound terrible. I am not bad with a spanner but I have no experience stripping down an engine, or rebuilding one and I have no one to help me with...

Hi Anyone know where to source a replacement engine from, eBay seem to be low on engines, KTEC seem to want stupid money for a second hand engine before there is any work even done to it, and REN PARTS Ltd don't even have a phone number that work which make me wonder what is going on there?

Well I'm not to sure why my engine let go then as the new build only had 10K on it, do they suffer with oil starvation on track as my car does not have a banfield oil sump?
