I’ve decided today I’ve put enough time into this, can’t suss it out so I’m going to break it, gutted really coz it’s a great car put it’s beaten me, I’ll put a list up for anyone interested, cheers again for all the help

I’ve tried all the original car components including the steering lock , but that was still saying “turn steering wheel “ so decided to try an emulator thinking there was a steering electrical fault, I’ve tried the car with and without the shift light connected, but it’s still the same messages...

Sorry should’ve mentioned the steering isn’t locked and there’s an emulator fitted

I’ve already looked at the passenger side wiring and all looks good other than the n/s door harness going through the A pillar , had a quick look at the wiring going across the tunnel but seems ok will take the seats out to check properly, I’ll sort the video via you tube in the morning, cheers

Hi again, thanks for responding, I have a multimeter and all fuses are fine, there’s no fuel pump prime, no starter action, no fuel gauge reading, the only things that operate are the windows, hazards ,lights and wipers it’s unbelievably frustrating I did a video of opening and attempting start...

I did find this connector in n/s door pillar and thought I’d sussed it but made no difference when cleaned up?

Thanks for the response, the connection in the glove box area are for the shift light, I’ve tried disconnecting them along with the stereo but no joy, have pretty much check all earths and have tried a full ecu kit of a donor, the only info on display is press brake to start and turn steering...

I totally agree but it’s tracing it that’s the problem there’s a ridiculous amount of wires in this car

Still struggling with this electrical problem , I’ve tried a donor full ecu bcm and steering ecu and still no joy , everything works windows etc but no ignition or starting at all, the car is pretty much dismantled can’t find a bad earth or anything, anyone with any ideas , getting desperate now...

Still struggling with this , seem to have narrowed it down to engine bay fuse box , anybody out there got a spare one for sale ? , thanks.
