Definitely not normal, I'd keep an eye on it. Probably got a minor leak from somewhere if it happens again, especially considering how it's coming from the radiator side. Might be easier to spot from underneath with the under tray off.

I pulled mine out while I was sorting the radiator fan out - Didn't put it back, I expected it to be a little louder but sadly didn't make a discernable difference.

Update to my theory - I'm blaming the throttle body, sound seems directly linked, like the motor closing the butterfly/ air rushing through as it shuts. For sure has stayed the exact same and not got any worse in the time I've had it so can't be anything wrong!

As said above, in all likelihood it's probably a coil that's gone bad. Mine had a missfire between 2-3k revs under load that got worse and worse over the whole rev range and would idle with a small stutter. New coil sorted it right out. No EML light at all. Unplugging the bad coil still made it...

Just to update, no change after fitting the mounts - My suspicion is it may relate to the starter motor heat shield but it doesn't bother me to look any further

On that note I've ordered new engine mounts and a powerflex insert for the lower gearbox mount. I did try removing the airbox pipes etc to see if they were rattling but no change.

Does anyone know the actual cause of this one? So many threads about it but none conclusive...
