Have have this exact same issue. Not a clue what it is, but like you say mine also passed an MOT a few months back no issue.

Get them to take the manifold and exhaust etc off the red one?

I have noticed that some of the sealer is missing on my jacking points. I want to touch this up with something that looks OEM. OEM stuff is slightly rubbery. I'm guessing PU based, maybe? Glacier white so underneath is white. Any suggestions? was thinking something like...

All I can add is that when Adam put my reg in when ordering the replacement gearbox, the system told him it was discontinued and advised of a revised part number maybe indicating some changes but it didn't specify what.

The Renault garage didnt actually do the MOT test. Due to a power cut they took it to HiQ.

Never stripped them down. I know they needed doing but never got round to it. Its been maintained as per Renault's requirements
