Does fitting a Quaife diff make a difference?

Be good to get an idea of the work involved to it and of course the costs, sounds like a great addition for the track users of the Clio

    Clio 200 gearbox gear ratio?

I 'thought' 5th and 6th in the 200 were the same as the revised 197 'box that came in late 2007 (I think), but not sure.

    Speedlines

I believe they are actually heavier than the 'new' design wheel that the 200 comes with as standard, I seem to remember them being mentioned as slightly lighter than the older 197 wheel but Renault lightened the standard wheel when they introduced the 200, can't remember the numbers involved...

Whats the best pads for standard disks?

I'm getting on ok with ds2500's, only had them in for 700 miles or so yet and only fast road work but so far I am pleased. I'd say they are as good as std pads when cold (I can't notice any difference in stopping power) but with some heat in they come to life and do seem to give a bit extra over...

    Cup Chassis

I know it's a tad off topic (I don't know that there are any other differences than those discussed already) but I'm not so sure the automatic assumption should always be for the cup chassis. I'd say it's dependant on what type of roads you drive on regularly and whether you plan on track days...

    Lowering a 200

Whilst I've no experience of springs and spacers on the 200 I'd recommend Eibach's purely based on their repuation, don't go for a cheap option that purely gives you the looks without a decent spring quality backing it up to maintain the ride composure, be a shame to own the best hot hatch out...

    Do your brakes squeal?

I get a bit from the rears under light braking sometimes, nothing to write home about thankfully (I did try a set of Group B Carbone Lorraine pads in my old Evo once... think I woke the whole street up coming home the first night and must have been close to shattering everybodies windows the...

    New Discs/Pads...

I fitted the Brembo HC's (bremboshop) and DS2500's at the weekend to my 200 (warped discs) and I can already tell the difference with the new pads, seem pretty decent from cold but once there is some heat in you get another level from them. I was a little worried about the lack of anti-squeal...

    discs pads 197

Yeah, I'm gonna put a set of DS2500's in I think based on various recommendations (Tweeks have them for £100+vat which I think seems reasonable). I did notice the discs weren't painted, not sure whether to dab a bit on myself or put up with some rust.

    discs pads 197

I'm in the same boat, feels ok at low speed (or very insignificant and no wobble at all when cruising), if it's the same I feel it most under light'ish braking from 50-60+mph. I can just about feel it when coming to a halt under low pressure as well, the slight feeling that the brakes are...

    200 a better car???

I'm not sure anyone thinks the 200 is perfect (nor the 197) but whether it's 'better' than the 197 is a little easier. Most would suggest yes purely based on the evolutionary approach taken (indeed that can be traced way back to pervious generations). If you want new they you have a limited...

front hub nut torque and size - 200

Ah ok magic (thanks for the caliper setting too), I've not looked at it yet so wondered if it was all held together through the bearing carrier etc and had a big nut on it. The discs have arrived and I see the mounting holes now, cheers. And yeah, shakey steering wheel under braking. I was...

    200 a better car???

Having owned both (R27 and now a 200) I agree with the 'evolution' comment, not massively different but certainly different enough to know things have been tweaked and updated. Is it going to be significantly quicker on a track, doubt you'll notice anything tbh however where it does show its...

front hub nut torque and size - 200

Hi, think I've warped my front discs so gonna swap them at the weekend but wanted to make sure I have the right socket for the hub nut, does anyone know the size (before I take the wheel off to check). Also when I put it back what shoud I torque it up to? Cheers.

    Renault Fitted Blue Tooth

All factory fitted, and a bit of a bargain at the price I thought.

    Renault Fitted Blue Tooth

Yeah I've got the factory integrated USB/Bluetooth on my 200 - definately fully integrated and not a Parrot type system. Works really well plus gives voice control (which I've not yet played with and only found about 4 months into ownership...).

    Play with a seat bocanegra

I know it's a cliche but how did the 2 compare when not going in a straight line? I like the idea of the Ibiza but it looks a little too similar to the other models i.e I like to pose a bit lol plus not sure the chassis is up to the job (or the flappy paddle box?)

    R888 sizes and prices

I ordered a set of R888's (GG) in the standard Clio size yesterday from a place called tyretraders.com, they've not arrived yet (3-5 days apparently) but they came in at £129.60 a tyre (plus I think a tenner for delivery of 4) and you can also arrange for a local fitter included in the deal if...

What is going to be the future of the RS Clio???

I really love the N/A character of the engine so I'd really hope they stick with that and work backwards, a tad more power is always nice but if they can combine that with some weight saving (although it's hard to do and maintain cost effective safety I would think) then even better. I'm sure...

    Yellow 200 Cup

It would be good to know your thoughts after your track day, although I am finding no suppliers of them so far in the UK for some reason :(
