Hi guys, My front subframe is rusted to bits and needs replacing. There's a few going for sale online, but I wanted to know if the 197 subframe is the same as the standard Clio? Thanks.

I don't think they do. I think you just slide the new tips over the original exhaust end.

UPDATE: We replaced both flexi joints. He did a really sweet job on both. Car feels great now and is a lot quieter. On the down side the car is a lot quieter! Decided to go with the repair option because at this point I really don't see myself keeping this car too much longer, as its starting to...

Doesn't the Toyosport one require a re-map?

Was thinking that and was even enjoying the extra warble from the car this morning until the engine light started flashing (which indicates a fuel issue) so I brought it straight in. Looking at the Toyosport one on eBay now.

Flexi pipe has a hole. Now I have to decide what to do next :/

Just praying its not the manifold. Damn car is starting to cost me too much. There's no unusual sound coming from the engine bay from what I can tell and the performance is just fine when I accelerate. Its just the sound it makes... which is actually quite nice :D

Not yet. I had a listen while cold this evening, gave it a few revs and definitely coming from the front end underneath and sounds like a hole somewhere but I know f*ck all really so it could be anything. I'll take it down my mechanic in the morning.

Right, just checked it while cold. Gave it a good few revs. Definitely coming from underneath the car towards the front. It sounds just like the time the back box fell off my 106GTi

That's the thing, I can't hear any difference when the car is stationery and I rev it. Its only when I'm accelerating while on the move.

Sounds like its coming from the rear or directly underneath me when I accelerate. Almost like a 'flapping' sound.

Had the windows down today going through a built up area and as I accelerated up around 2500-3000 rpm I could hear what sounds like a hole in the exhaust somewhere. While idling the engine sounds fine and even if I rev the engine while stationery all sounds well. Its just when I'm on the move...
