Are you letting them cool on the last couple of laps. You might be getting them too hot. Discs shouldn't warp that easily.

I've removed my centre box today. To be honest I don't think it's a lot noisier just a bit rortier if anything and pops occasionally when changing gear. If anything the flat spot seems better although my car had already been remapped. Easy job and I've cut the silencer so I can always refit it...

It is probably half an hour a side with the correct tool.

All the renaults I've repaired in the past for a knock on the steering have just needed the track rods replacing not the full rack. It's usually wear in the inner knuckle joint.

No it's no roof stickers. I'd never noticed the difference but I see what you mean now. The paintwork and bodywork looks original so maybe a previous owner added some spurious stickers. Thanks for the traction control tip I'll give it a go.
