The engine is still is the same throughout the renaultsport clio range, same in the 172, 182, and 197 mate, just different cams, inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, and Ecu in the 197. But your definitely right about the NCAP safety rating between the 172/182 to the 197.

Well going by the one after the other issues my mate had with his 172, everything that went wrong with that car was a massive and expensive job. Even general work like a cambelt change, yes it's a c*nt of a job on a 197, but it's even more of bigger c*nt of a job on a 172/182. (and that's coming...

I wouldn't say its extreme at all, from the majority of the recaro's I've seen they are actually falling apart from where the fabric and cushioning comes away from the structure of the seat itself around both the base bolsters and back rest bolsters, that to me is falling apart, not wear...

Well I'm one of those 10% of people then, cos I wouldn't be fussed about the recaro's, yes they are nice but not on my importance list at all, I'd much rather have other things like the digital climate (purely because it looks a whole lot better to me than twisty horrible looking knobs) and...

Yeah cos the recaro's are uncomfortable and fall apart. They look nice but that's about it, they don't 'make' a clio sport sellable. So I say 'Fail' to that comment.

I don't mind the music but I really don't see the point in watching a track video with the camera facing out of the rear window watching everything you've passed, would of been so much better with a drivers view out of the windscreen to get full effect of how hard you were pushing it.

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone but I think the Ecu is situated behind the airbox in the engine bay.

Cheers guys, that's interesting. I have a custom made cat back system which doesn't have a middle silencer, it's just a straight pipe leading to 2 silencers for each tail pipe. It sounds nice, not too loud but noticable it has a system fitted, so I'm just wondering if it would pop and crackle if...

Lol, I'm the same mate! I wouldn't mind so much but Renault parts are ridiculously expensive for what they are! I'm used to owning Audi's and Honda's and their parts are a lot cheaper, and far better made!
