PM'd you. It looks like we have the wrong ecu? And loom? Supposed to have been a phase 2 engine but looks like it's a phase 1. Sigh. Renparts. If I post ecu codes, can anyone identify and say if it will work? No use me taking Trevor up on nhis offer if we have the wrong stuff.

AFAIK, you need the two exhaust tips that come with it? Apart from that, can't really help.

Does it need to be drilled? Won't the bulbs fit in the proper bulbholders already there? And if you drill, how do you get the bulb correctly aligned?

Went to the car Saturday night, must have nudged the wiper switch getting in when the blades were frozen to the screen, switched off staright away, but smoke came out of the switch. On removal it's all melted inside. I've priced a new one at £200 inc VAT......:nope: There are a few on ebay...

Surely your duty of care extended to actually FIXING the problem it came in for? And NOT charging me for a so-called free diagnosis half hour? As noted, don't worry about the system and what it does/doesn't any more: it won't be coming anywhere near you.

Update: He took the car to Archie Moss at Loughborough, a service centre, but not a dealership for sales. They had a look at his paperwork, told him they had no idea what Brian Leighton's were talking about it needing a new loom, and switched on the aircon at the ecu...which is what I asked BL...

Aye, that's understood, but some of their prices make your eyes water. And they CAN do it at a better rate as a local Citroen dealer once did for me.
