    200: Goodbye Clio.

Then I'd be looking at a £3k bill this year to keep it on the road. Sadly something I can ill afford this year and a new car is a cheaper option.

    200: Goodbye Clio.

The Clio 2 has a bonnet catch with a design flaw that rusts and then fails. There have been a lot of cases and a couple of near fatalities on motorways were the bonnet catch failed, the bonnet flew open, smashing into the windscreen and blocking all visibility. As far as I'm aware Renault have...

    200: Goodbye Clio.

Sure. I think the recent bills would of seen me change cars anyway and I was certainly interested in the Trophy or a 275. Renualts attitude to the whole gearbox issue I think has been really terrible (just look at the Clio 2 bonnet catch issue where their customers could of easily lost their...

    200: Goodbye Clio.

You're not advising me that I should of sold on a car with a known mechanical defect and not mentioned it are you? Besides, I honestly do hope that whoever picks up USB treats it just as well as I have. And I wouldn't of wanted to pass it on any other way.

    200: Goodbye Clio.

Can't argue that they're everywhere (which is why I went with Molten Orange), but when you can pick up a brand new ST3 and fit a Mountune kit for £6k less than a 220... well I'm not going to call you mad. But I think I'd want my cerebrum checked over. Plus Renault would have to give me a gold...

    200: Goodbye Clio.

Just wanted to generally clarify that the first 4 1/2 years have been excellent. Even having to replace the rear hubs/brake discs, the FOS hub and bearing and source the Eibach springs myself (after the originals broke and Renault couldn't find any). The killer for me was the manufacturing...

    200: Goodbye Clio.

Sadly after some large repair bills and a lack of support from Renault over the gearbox syncromesh it's time to leave. Unfortunately I'll be leaving Renault as well and time will tell if I can trust them as a brand any more. So last week I picked up this little beauty: (A Fiesta ST3 with...

    200: Goodbye Clio.

After 5 1/2 years of RenaultSport ownership and 15 years of Renault ownership I'm out. I've really enjoyed the 200 and had some great times in it, some great times at meet ups and met some great people here: Evo triangle drives with Arran and Curley, Black Mountain drives (Craig B)...

Has your gearbox been replaced? Yes or no?

Hi Leanne, I'd be intrigued to learn the initial quote you've been given for your gearbox. I'm in the middle of the same process with RUK and the dealers. Adam

Has your gearbox been replaced? Yes or no?

Hi guys, I'm getting the dreaded crunch into 3rd gear and have just started the process with Renault. Not overly optimistic as the car is 5 years old and just turned 50k miles. I'd appreciate any advice from anyone who has been through this process, especially anyone who has had RUK help out...

Quick question - MOT failure. Front springs broken.

Hi Chaps, I wanted to pop back in and thank everyone who replied. Some good solid advice here. Wish I had the time to be as active on here as I once was. Rightly or wrongly I needed to make sure the car was back on the road quicker than the 10 days I'd of waited on Renault. Heading to wales...

Quick question - MOT failure. Front springs broken.

Thanks chaps, Yeah this is an annoying situation as the car had been on the ramp at Ren Coventry 2 months previously for drivers side hub and bearing. Cov claim that they would of noticed a broken spring then so to have both go in 2 months... Jimmy - your explanation seems the most...

Quick question - MOT failure. Front springs broken.

Hi guys, Just a quick question. My cars just failed it's MOT with broken front springs. I'm being quoted £452.40 for replacements which to me seems excessive. Am I right to think this? Also I can't get it out of my head that it's odd for both of them to have gone at the same time.

Apologies for the really poor photo from my office window, but I wondered if the owner of this LG 200 was on the forum?
