Not been here for 10 years

Well back in 2007 I bought a Clio 197 and sold it to chase my belief that turbo engines are the future. Since the Clio I've had a Leon FR TFSI, a 207 GTI, E92 335i, and currently a 1800TSI Polo Gti which I've just written off at a little under 2 years old. 2 years ago I purchased and restored a...

At long last, a small cleaning session on the MPS!

Ive just had all my wheels re furbed and the body shop uses a Mazda wheel as an example of how bad wheels can peel and corrode. They reckon mazda are the worst for poor paint on wheels so you should be ok under their paintwork guarantee hopefully?!

    Golf R32

If you are after straight line power, a mapped 2.0T will eat a standard R32 in pretty much any scenario, but they cant put the power on the tarmac like the 4 motion can, all be it the haldex is very biased to the front wheels and astronomic under steer on less than perfect tyres

    197 Pro's and Con's

They are an awesome looking great handling car, and relatively reliable but lower capacity turbo motors and avg sized turbo diesels will certainly have more out right performance. Do you want to perform on the straights or the roundabouts?

    Harder/different engine mountings

Powerflex didnt produce an engine mount for my 207 so when I rang them and it was discovered they didnt, they manufactured one from a pug part, and now they do! So it may be worth a phonecall to them as opposed to their stockists and see what happens. They do cause a lot of vibration though when...

    Next Gen Clio... Speculate Away!

I dont know mate but my 175 bhp standard 1.6T engine showed 197/200's clean pair of heels in a straight line, so its down to torque really and gearing as mine is a 5 speed box

    Next Gen Clio... Speculate Away!

Its going to be the tce engine that is from the nissan juke and megane tce, guy from the reno F1 stand at silverstone said. Would make sense, 180 bhp plus loads of torque.
