Going to fit my eibachs today at my cousins house and there are two routes I can take back one is kinda bumpy and over some moorland and one is on Main roads and fairly smooth, does it matter which one I take back, do I need to let them settle on the smooth road or help them bed in on the bumpy...

Some Eibach springs, RS renaultsport badge and brembo stickers all arrived today, along with my cup spoiler which I fitted yesterday :)

As a side note - anyone know the cheapest place to get eibachs?

Looking at getting some lowering springs for my 197, probably eibachs, but not sure yet! Wanting to have a go at fitting then myself, the rears I think I can manage easily enough, just heard that the fronts can be a pig? Anyone fancy giving me a quick run-down on how to go about it? Or should...

It's actually only when I'm parking or setting off, disappears above 2/3 mph

My steering wheel squeaks at low speeds when I'm turning right... Any ideas what it could be? I know my driveshaft needs replacing but doubt this has any effect on the steering. Thanks

How much extra cash did you give if you don't mind me asking? I was thinking of calling garages up and offering cash and my seats for Recaros... As long as I cover the additional premium the Recaros fetch they should be happy!

After much deliberation, taken all comments into account, I'll be opting for.... The Cup! The sprint, although a very nice a spoiler, is just a little too subtle! Need to stand out and be noticed. Thanks for the input though guys

Was all set for buying the cup until the sprint spoiler popped up on eBay... Had me thinking twice and no I can't decide.. Leaning towards the spring especially as its almost half the price

Suppose that's what I can't decide... From some angles I prefer the cup, some I prefer the sprint... Only I can really make the decision, stupid post really! Just though some choice words could tip me over the fence one way or the other!

Well not at first, there is a knocking from the front drivers wheel which I'm told is the half shaft bearings (ironically the exact same thing and side it went on my last car, which was in the garage the week before picking up my Clio) - so a new driveshaft needed, but isn't that bad at the...

Price seems a little steep, I bought my 58 reg with 37,000 miles for £4,300. I did have to travel 150 miles for it but my dad was more than happy to take me, nice to have a long run out in a new car too! With the exhaust I suppose the sound will be the tell-tale sign, if it sounds like it blows...

I prefer the look of the integrated sat nav, I already have a Tom Tom that I can stick on the windscreen, just thought if could get all the bits from a 1.2 that some young un's written off, I'd give it a go! Anyway, I won't hijack the thread haha!

That's true, never really thought of it like that! But at the same time if I can get a couple hundred quid back for the standards and then get 4/500 more when selling the car with Recaros sat in it, can't be that bad! Just wondered if anyone had sold some recently and could give me an idea

So thinking of getting me some Recaros in the near future, just wondering if anyone knows how much a good set of standard front 197 seats fetch on ebay or the like? Just wondering how much of the cost I can recoup - coz them seats don't come cheap ha! Also, been thinking of calling around...

Yeah think thats what I will do... I'm not that bothered I will go spending a load on converting though, could be put to better use
