    Gearbox oil change....

That's odd to hear about the Fuchs, it's normally very very good. We've sold loads of it to Clio owners and I've not had any complaints that I can think of. Cheers Tim

    Gearbox oil change....

Don't use additives with quality oils like the MTL, it can ruin the oil.

    Cold weather gear changes

It might be worth trying a DOT5.1 in the clutch if you are using a DOT4 as they are a little thinner. Cheers Tim

    Cold weather gear changes

I don't have the data sheet for the Elf, so I don't know. As far as I know, the Elf is a 75w-80 so there might not be much difference. The Redline MTL is a 70w-80 though, so that should improve things. Cheers Tim

    Cold weather gear changes

Hi all, Around this time of year we get quite a few questions about experiencing difficult gearshifts in cold weather, so we thought you might find this useful. Using the incorrect viscosity gear oil in your car can make gear changes very difficult when the gearbox, and oil are cold. This is...

    Which oil?!?!

The X-Cess is 0710 approved (it's mentioned in the tech data sheet), it just looks like it's not linked to the right section on the site. If I tried to do it, I'd probably kill the website if I tried to do it and the guy who can sort that out is off for a couple of days. Cheers Tim

    Which oil?!?!

Definitely looking that way, everyone seems to be loving it. They reckon their car is more responsive and smoother. All the dyno tested ones are showing a power increase as well. Cheers Tim

    Which oil?!?!

The Supersyn is still a pretty good oil, even though it's cheap. It's not what I'd recommend for a car that sees a lot of track time, but for normal road use and some track time, it's fine. Cheers Tim

    Which oil?!?!

The Pro S is a step up from the X-Cess, it's a top end ester based oil so will give the best protection and at the moment it's not too much more expensive. Cheers Tim

    Which oil?!?!

If it's under warranty, it needs a RN0710 spec oil http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-898-rn0710-oil.aspx Otherwise, a decent 5w-40 is fine http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-656-5w-40.aspx Cheers Tim

    Gearbox oil change??

Perhaps a better oil than standard stuff would help it last better?

    Gearbox oil change??

Hi A 75w-90 is thicker than needed, so is likely to make the changes harder and the Castrol TAF-X has been discontinued. You need an MTF for the gearbox and I would go with the Redline MTL, Amsoil MTF or Fuchs Sintofluid. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-670-75w-80-75w-85-mtfs.aspx...
