    Best Wax?

Yes to both. I recall telling you about the Z2 only the other day and today I used it on a white 1 Series!! The poorboys wheel sealant I used recently on a 1M. So it is pretty good stuff :)

    Magic Detail | JB40k's 200 Cup

Baha! Cheers Russ. Got a CTR in today for a full M&K detail !! What's the score with this new Swissvax anyway? Do you know where it'll be placed in their wax lineup?

    Magic Detail | JB40k's 200 Cup

Thanks for the feedback guys. I would have liked to have got some more 'finished' pictures, but unfortunately it was an overcast and wet day all day, and it started going dark at 3pm!! Damn winter :thumb1:

    Wax Tec

Looks ok to me mate for that money. Not sure of any connections with Mitchell & King though?? None of those products are M&K.

    Magic Detail | JB40k's 200 Cup

Hey guys and gals! I finally broke my clio197.net and Renault 'duck' and detailed Lee's brand new 200 Cup this week!! The car was initially booked in with me for a New Car Detail, and these are ordinarily protected with Ceramishield, however it was changed to a Swissvax detail and protected...

    Best Wax?

The answer is; it's subjective to your budget. I say Swissvax is damn hard to beat in terms of quality, aesthetics, and ease of use, but to many people it is sinply too expensive. I am really loving Mitchell & King waxes at the moment, they are infact making me a bespoke wax (as I have already...

    Waxybox

I got a box sent to me last week. Tried the M&K shampoo (excellent) and the Hubicote wheel cleaner which was ok. Still got the Britemax AIO and some tyre slick to trial which I will do this week. It's a good concept, I hope it works out for Richard (owner). I wont need to subscribe but can see...

    ventureshield

Sealant, but not wax. Must be optically clear. Only the most expensive waxes offer the clarity that you'd need. It's fairly protective in it's own right though.

    ventureshield

They're more rubbery than say a vinyl wrap. Ventureshield is "self healing" - with warmth from the sun, or by poruing hot water on it, all the scratches and damage will 'heal'. I have seen it scrubbed with a scouring pad and then boiling water poured on it and there were no marks left...

Bringing out the best in LY

Yeah, they are two of the six I was referring to who know their onions!! lol. Your methodology is correct - the least aggressive combo for the highest possible results. Its easy for people to just hammer your paint with Scholl S0 on some wool and do a bit of refining after, voila 'correction'...

Bringing out the best in LY

Thats why I said there's no doubt you can do a good job yourself. There's a gap between good and great though, and removing swirls isn't correction, its enhancement. Correction is every last defect fully removed. Lay off DW for a while mate, there's about half a dozen professionals there who...

    ventureshield

If installed correctly it's awesome and worth every penny. Go for it mate, but also take a look at the full kit.

Bringing out the best in LY

Was really just pointing out that going down the wax route can lead to high expense! I would be inclined to stick with my first suggestion of multiple layers of Zaino Z2 and top it with Z8. And heading into winter sealants do tend to have the edge on wax when it comes to protection, unless you...

Bringing out the best in LY

I'm over in Altrincham, South Manchester. Dodo Juice wax is ok for the weekend enthusiast, not something I would use. Other than my £16 tub of Natty's, the cheapest wax I have is £200's worth!!

Bringing out the best in LY

Needs polishing by a professional to wring the best out of the paintwork and then an optically clear sealant, perhaps multiple layers of Zaino Z2 followed by Z8 which will give a very sharp and glossy look - or you go down the wax route, Swissvax BoS, Crystal Rock or along those lines. Deep...

    C63 amg

Nice cars. Incredibly fast. I'm sure the Clio would also be if it was packing a 6.3ltr V8.

    Ford focus rs

I'm not sure. Both colours make my d!ck twitch, so they're on a par as far as I'm concerned. Great work btw mate.

    Detailers - Chester

Russ doesn't have a ramp to do the underbody, and tbh, the OP would have to go past me (who does have a ramp) to get to him! I'm over in Altrincham as Willis said, and as a site trader I do deals for paid up forum members - gold/plat. I'm just about to start offering winter preps as we're...
