Thats what I was getting at really - if its a characteristic of the gearbox then I'm not worried about it. I did wonder if changing the gear oil might help. Whats the best possible gear oil I could use?

Hey Chaps, The gearbox in my 200 Cup seems noisy, I think when its warmed up. If Im on a light throttle I can hear chattering and when Im accelerating or coasting down in say, 5th, I can kind of "hear the gears" - it just sounds rough. Is this normal? Has anybody else noticed this? The car...

Out of interest, what did you pay for the 197?

Certainly by removing all of the standard seats and fitting some carbon fiber racing seats you could get close to a 36kg weight saving....but the car weights 1200kg anyway......is it really going to make a difference?

theres a slightly longer story behind the price but it just goes to show -never EVER pay anything near RRP.

Just for information, I bought a 200 Cup in November 2010. The only option I specced was satin speedlines and the price came out at £13600, which I didnt think was bad. Interestingly, the car came into the country for £10k....the rest is tax!
