    Track Only Car Suspension

Just ordered a custom Bilstein kit from Leo @ Madeno, needed to keep to hillclimb production rules so I can run in a reasonable class at Gurston next year. Was very helpful, would recommend!

    Powerflex bushes & engine mounts

Did anyone ever get round to fitting the rear beam bushes? Easy/hard job? How long time wise? Cheers Paul.

    Top mount options

Going to run my car in a few sprint/hillclimb days next year, but road going classes I'm looking at don't allow rose jointed top mounts. I know you can buy lower arm camber and castor bushes that will help a little, but does anyone know of any thing else available off the shelf to increase...

Brake pedal goes too deep for comfortable heel and toe on track.

Do you find you actually need to then? Can't say I've ever really found it helps in a fwd car.

    Track Only Car Suspension

Didn't know half of those were available to be honest Rich, I certainly didn't come across them when searching online. Madeno sound like the people to speak to then!

Anyone here hillclimb using 1a tyres what's there preference?

Do they have to be 1a then? Can use both 1a and 1b in most road going formulas.

    Track Only Car Suspension

Neither Spax, B14 or the KW club sports are really 'track only' worthy. They are more fast road setups. AST will at least offer valve get and springs to suit a proper race/track setup, and I'm sure Bilstein and KW will also if you pay enough. Annoying really that so little is available off the...

Subframe options when fitting bucket seats

As above really. Only ones I can find for sale seem to be the OMP ones, are there any other options? I'll make my own if needs be, but if there is a simple off the shelf solution I'd happily go for that. Also what do people use for harness points? If I make my own frames I'll incorporate them...

    Removing Carbon Build Up

Complete waste of time... Running a oil catch tank will help stop the inlet side of things coking up and won't cost a fortune as a preventative measure...

    Tyres for 17 X 8 Cup Speedlines

Ah ok. Yeah the slicks are quite slim, I used to run 210's on my Seat with 8j rims. Why did you have to raise it Chris?

    Tyres for 17 X 8 Cup Speedlines

As above really. What sizes have people used and what problems if any have you encountered? There seems plenty of room both sides of the standard wheel/tyre combo, say 30 mm odd, so I guess most of the rubbing stories people have reported are those running 17 X 8 with wheels that have a lower ET...

That's not the 8" rim though, it's talking about the road car 7.5"!

    The Definitive What Wheels Thread...

Does anyone have the ET of the race car Speedlines, I've had a good search but no info seems available!

    what other wheels fit?

Does going for a lower ET affect the handling in a negative way on the 197/200?!

    The Definitive What Wheels Thread...

Anyone got any contact details to purchase some of the 17 x 8 cup racer wheels? Take it they will clear coilovers without spacers? Would arches need rolling at all? Cheers Paul.

Insurance for Clio 200 hillclimb/trackday car

    Thanks for the replies!

    LSD options

Quaife are good for the road, but I wouldn't use on track if there are other options... As soon as you hit a kerb and lift a wheel something plated is required so you still have drive!

Insurance for Clio 200 hillclimb/trackday car

As above really. Who do people use? Will be limited mileage with euro cover for Spa etc, and need commuting just in case I have to use for work occasionally. My 200 is currently standard but will be fitted with various bits over the coming months, as soon as I mention modified the price becomes...
