I'd stick with 82 rear if it were me it makes the amount of thread protruding front and rear very similar

As standard I agree but they can be improved greatly and there's plenty of parts available I was also going to suggest a MK1 Focus RS but £7.5k will only buy a high mileage example one. But if you can find a well looked after mildly modified (300bhp approx) it would be a very good choice. A...

As said above the Meg is the obvious choice. But if you fancy something else what about a Focus ST?

Front toe in reduce it to 0.5mm or try 0 deg 10 mins total

Spray some WD or plus gas on the stud, put a jack (use a block of wood as a spreader) under the box, put a nut on the stud so as not to damage the thread, tap (hit) the stud with a hammer. It will move but the box will want to drop so let the jack down a smidge.

I'd say there would be little thread protruding through the nut at the front. The rear will be better. PM your email address and if I can find a pic' I'll send it over.

We have 20mm spacers and I think we run 82mm studs at the rear and 90mm at the front

Conti 5's are excellent. We used them as wets on track in Timeattack 2015. TA 2016 meant a swap to Pirelli.
