    2 piece discs

Our experience of Reyland and Godspeed is that the Godspeed disks lasted much longer and they had curved internal vanes rather than the straight in the Reyland (better cooling ?)

    Vibration under heaving braking.

Yeh give everything a good once over, check all bolts, ball joints, hub nuts etc 9 times out of 10 it's pad deposits We've found all carbon based pads have given us problems, go for a ceramic far less issues

    Brakes question

We've run Ds1.11 and RS29 on the road with no issues It's not a major job swapping disk and pads You could run road disks and pads I.e. Brembo or similar and then use a better disk and track orientated pad when on track

    Brakes question

I concur with the above, DS2500 are troublesome when pushed hard leaving deposits on the disk. DS1.11 are a vast improvement, however I would still say that Pagid RS29’s are a better all rounder (they are expensive though !)

    Oil post... sorry!

I have to say I know nothing about oil production (not my field) but it does appear that if a base oil is modified it can be classed as synthetic. I guess you pay your money and take your choice. In many years of running ester based synthetics (pro s and similar) in Fords and Renos both on road...

    Oil post... sorry!

I assume it’s a 5/40 spec oil the same as any other, where it will differ is in its ability to remain within spec when pushed hard / high temperature. It will also provide superior lubrication / protection due to its synthetic ester base, non of this hydrocracked mineral oil !!! But that’s only...

Help me shave 6 second off my lap time

As stated above - Tyres - we rate the Pirelli P zero road tyre AST's, Clubsports, Cup Racer Bilsteins Decent disks with RS29 or DS1.11 or PB s pads Braided brake lines and fluid LSD (go plated if you can live with it) Replace front seats All the above will help to reduce times However best...

    Stud / Nut Conversion

At the front the disk bell acts as a spacer of about 8mm as the studs screws into the hub flange. At the rear the stud screws into the disk bell.

    Stud / Nut Conversion

Use high temp stud lock when fitting the studs We used TRS nuts, with the lengths quoted you will get a couple of threads visible when the nut is tight

    First track day, advice?

Gearbox oil gearbox oil - take ya pick Reno / redline / Fuchs / Castrol - we tried a few and stuck to Castrol Maybe worth an engine oil change if it's been a while, make sure you run it at the max mark and check through out the day A brake and clutch bleed doesn't do any harm either As for...
