Agree with Mike. The T1R is a truly awful tyre. The compound is too soft, leading to the tyre moving around too much which doesn't inspire confidence in the handling of the car, plus they wear out very quickly.

There's no legal limit specifically governing how fast you can drive on winter tyres in the UK, just the usual speed limits. Winter tyres don't tend to have the very high speed ratings, and the fastest I've seen them rated to and tested to is 150mph.
