Quick question that will be easily answered by someone. The door strips on a 197 / 200 are these the same as any mk3 standard clio? obviously the door “bullets” will be different but the actually black plastic trim is this the same? Just asking for the front doors. Cheers

Cheers. It does, just like you say straight onto the shaft once the plastic sleeve is removed. You may have to adjust the amount which the gear knob sits on the shaft as you still need to select reverse, but it isn't a problem to be honest.

** Update - For anyone looking to carry out something similar, you do have to remove the yellow plastic support housing at the top of the gear stick. Aftermarket gear knob now installed and feels much better.

Update: Bosch S4 005 battery fitted, turned the key and it fired up first time :) Measured the voltage whilst running and I was getting 14.59v roundabouts. So multiple clicks on startup = new battery Thanks for all your help guys, much appreciated as always :sunglasses:

Don't what I was doing before.... I'm getting 11.89v roundabouts, so I'm right in saying new battery time? Like @Sheldon88 suggested :)
