Indeed there is more of an element of 'balls' on the road. I have seen people racing on the wrong side of the road on a blind corner before now just to get the upper hand, doesn't matter how fast my car is i will always 'lose' to someone like that...although i am sure they will lose big time one...

The conti sport 5's are very good all round. I think i have one track day left in the Bridgestones then i was going to go for the Conti 5 or Pilot sport 4.

Mine is predominantly for track days but with a 3k miles a year policy i will be using it for fun on the road also. The 197 is more fun in the twists than the M135i (unless you are looking for power over steer). I would love to run them both on a short twisty track and see which is faster...

Hmmm you are right, something must have changed. Checked my receipt and it was £174 plus VAT which is around £210 but then i managed some discount on the lot i purchased. At £196 for original discs and pads go for it :)

I got mine form K Tech last week they have an offer on for original discs and pads £185 http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=4906&appid=3 As they include the bearing i wouldn't buy any cheapies.

I have just spent a small fortune on new OEM rear discs and pads and KTech front discs with D2500 pads. By the time the wife has gotten over that it will be 2018 for me.....

Seen a few negative comments ref KTech. Are they that bad? They are not far from me so was going to pop down and possibly get some bits (to fit myself). Should i go elsewhere?

The M135i is a great car but even for a hatchback is more like a GT car. Great car but almost too capable if you know what i mean, you don't realize how fast you are going sometimes. The Clio in comparison is like a go-kart, very fidgety. I guess it depends what you want as fun, i don't doubt...
