It does take a while doesn't it haha! What tyres did you go for? I'm also having the gearbox done at some point as 4th is crunching, nice to know I'm not alone in the gearbox front haha! Its an expensive jobby though haha!

So after much worry... my caliper turned up. I cannot tell you how excited I am to get my car back! I've painted my nails especially, ready for my date night with the car! New caliper - it looks so tasty!

Hi All, As some of you may or may not know, my n/s/r piston seized on my caliper, I've ordered a new caliper but whilst looking I noticed that the handbrake cable doesn't come off as easily as the brake line does. Any advice on how to get it off before I approach it tomorrow? Cheers!

They really are! Great when they work, not so much when they're poorly! I've not driven my car since Saturday and have been driving a Citroen Berlingo since, and it has to be said, although my gearbox is faulty... I miss it!

A valid point!! I made sure the o/s/r was nicely greased up! I will revisit the ns this Tuesday as I've left my car at my friends unit! The fronts seem well looked after. It's just had new disks put on before I bought it

Well today was awful! I started out replacing the pads... £17 for brembo pads, awesome! Cars jacked up, wheels are off... awesome! Pads -nomies Now onto the other side... this is where it gets interesting! I found this, supposed pad, bare metal... ouch. What numpty only replaces one...

Think the pad on ns rear has gone, getting some brembo pads and fitting tomorrow - £17 Thanks dude! I had them sprayed 20R - standard metallic paint for an Astra mk5! It's loud! Especially when it's cold!!

Interior - I also added a steering wheel insert!! All progress is on hold at present due to my chocolate box going balls up! That's not going to stop me though! Once the box is sorted, I'll be getting a cup spoiler, front splitter and side skirts. I may think about the 200 diffuser too...
