My deep black 197.. and a little product plug!

Cheers :) happy with how it's coming along, just seem to find more and more things I want to do as I work through my list haha And do it, these ones were worse for wear I just rubbed them right down with wet and dry until they had a really good smooth matt finish then had them re lacquered...

My deep black 197.. and a little product plug!

Thought I'd post a little update on progress, some new parts, and boxes ticked on the ever growing list.. Carbon front grilles on! Have recently fitted a KTR Induction kit (which I must add has a very addictive sound) All powerflex polybushes ordered, have a toyosport manifold waiting to go...

Uprated Engine mounts vs poly Bushes

Uprated Engine mounts vs poly Bushes

Exactly, after hearing other people's opinions I think it's better to do it this way than spend over £350 on something I might end up regretting!

Uprated Engine mounts vs poly Bushes

Nah, i don't think so, I'll probably just get them done same time as manifold and springs!

Uprated Engine mounts vs poly Bushes

Thanks all for suggestions, as if by magic there was the powerflex lower engine mount I need in the for sale section so I've grabbed that and will get the other two ordered. Going to do those 3, if I ever think I want to go any further then perhaps I will look to change the upper and torque arm...

Uprated Engine mounts vs poly Bushes

I did think there'd be a line that at least one of these options crossed, just wanted to be sure as the vibratechnics "full road kit" might have misled me a little with its name lol

Uprated Engine mounts vs poly Bushes

Thanks for input tbh I can live with a little bit of 'uncomfortable' in some ways quite like how that makes the car feel, but if you're saying these 3 do that and the solid mounts are more extreme I'm guessing they probably are a bit too much!

You're a gent, thanks for taking the time to do that, I'll go with that advice then I think! :thumb:

Uprated Engine mounts vs poly Bushes

Ok cheers for the advice! So from what you're saying the powerflex performance pack would be a bit too much also, so just go for something along the lines of the cheaper option - which is basically what you said plus maybe a gearbox mount one?

    Squeaky Clean...

Today I managed to jetseal the car / wheels, used autofinesse revive on the plastic trim (and pillar protection) and whilst I was at it did all interior trim with dressle! MEGA happy with how it's looking, think the jetseal has given it more depth and shine.. now it must be one of the cleanest...

    Squeaky Clean...

I'll be honest, I don't know too much about them, I probably should do this as I assume they're far harder/more protective than waxes etc, this time I've just gone for Jetseal as I thought a sealant is probably better than just waxing over winter, but will have to look into ceramic coatings for...

    Squeaky Clean...

I've ordered some jet seal so I'll give it a go and report back -with further pics! I was thinking about putting a coat of poorboys black hole glaze on prior to sealant but not sure if that's ok to do? Will check out angel wax ta!

My deep black 197.. and a little product plug!

Both look really nice mate, tbh don't think you can go wrong with any steering wheel retrim on these, or you'd be hard pushed, maybe they looked nice brand new, but Renault got it wrong with the quality of these (or very right for any retrim company lol) It's really just whatever floats your goat!
