Any idea how thick a rear disc should be? Seem to have about 6-8mm on mine but MOT checkover recomended replacing them. Car is 7 years old, with 50k on the clock and probably never been replaced, but like you say they dont do alot and im replacing all the fronts and am wondering if they are...

If you say so - just think they should be standard on a car of this marque.

Ha ha - all well and good if you can get the wipers off - tried once armed with a hammer, oil and screwdriver for half hour and failed. LOl next time will dig out the jimmy bar :chair:

Standard and am impressed by them even with all the discs needing replacing. Maybe im just getting old.... :D Had the DS2500 on a Cupra, Scooby and Evo8 and they are very good - just cant warrant the price difference on a car that does less than 2k miles a year

I did the full set of Pioneers in mine due to distortion and what I thought was a cone rattling in the back. Much better sound quality at the higher levels and lol the rattle came from one of my sons toy cars in the rear door bin :D

Prob why they are twice the price...

Yep done - bought a kit - Brembo discs and pads + Mintex accessory pin kit for £131. Now to source the backs...

Looking to spend a few bob in the near future on new discs and pads all round. Brembo front pads £40 odd as advised earlier but the DS2500 are almost £135! Big old difference, had the DS2500 before on my Cupra Brembros but dont know if I can warrant the cost for a car that hasnt seen a track...

I had a Scooby for 5 years and agree with the above. Like someone mentioned earlier "know what league your in" and most people knew that Scoobys were awesome machines that you wouldnt stand a chance against unless in pretty much a super car. Little fat arsed flared arched French pocket rocket...

Had this at the weekend on the A12, A130 and A13, basically from Dartford to Colchester. All were jammed so just kept a safe braking distance with morons on my touche. One guy undertook in a Puma - ha ha should have seen the muppets face when I pulled up and past him at the traffic lights...

Nope but had a 55 WRX peanut eye - last of the 2 litres. Most reliable car Ive ever owned. Awesome machine in every way but I did spend £10k on it. Dunno about 20mpg tho... Once did £100 tank in 70 miles! Not sure about the 2.5s tho and thought the hatchback was only front wheel drive?
