I started getting something like this recently but it only happens under breaking and it’s not consistent, my first thought is a sticking brake pad or calliper piston maybe?
Yeah probably me @Foxspeed, took a drive out over Blakey ridge and to the NY500 cafe for a car show, although the car show wasn’t all that great the cup of Yorkshire tea was nice though.
Got a quote to wrap the front aero part on the bumper £80/100.
So I thought I’d have a go with some £5 vinyl :laughing:I think I’ll fork out to get it done professionally.
OK so the mk3 callipers fit the Clio bracket.
Speedlines don’t fit over them and make contact at the lower edge under the Brembo logo.
And finally the pads are to big for the Clio standard discs.
Meh!
Main reason I’m fitting them is because one of the bleed nipples is snapped on one of the callipers (ones on the car ATM), so it needs sending of for a repair. And having these megane ones sitting around got me thinking.
I had the same issue when I bought my Clio.
Searched for ages and finally found some from ren parts. I also needed the front bumper under tray but ended up making one out of a large piece of abs plastic sheet.
I’ve got the k-brace, not sure if it made any difference but it should as it bolts to the isofix location with a cross brace.
One thing that I don’t like is I get a metallic clunk noise when I go over speed bumps or dips in the road.
From what I’ve read they’re the same as the ones we have on the Clio but just a different design.
So other than being nice and shiny I don’t think I'll see any other benefits.
