If you mean the screws holding them on then yes. It took me about 6 months to find some stainless ones and then I had to buy a pack of 50. I'll sell you four for £2 posted if you are in the UK.

Has it had a quick paintjob and they've left the lights in and masked around them? If the panel gap has not been prepped the paint would not stick to it hence coming off/peeling.

Did you not even get his reg number? you could check to see if he's insured with that.
