Little bit of slop when pulling away...

Checked and they all seem fine. Compared with the wife's nismo juke which seems to have the same setup and hers had the same amount of movement which was barely any, so I'm guessing this is just a characteristic of an OEM setup. I may buy the poly bush at some point, but while I don't mind...

Little bit of slop when pulling away...

Not given it a wobble yet but I reckon you’re into something. Feels like it’s energy stored in transmission, but it might just be how the car is. Hard to tell. I’m in Seattle for a week but when I get back I’ll give your suggestion a shot and probably end up changing it over regardless. It...

I fitted the 280mm part. The 250mm part didn’t turn up for ages, so it’s arrived after the jobs done and now it’s spare but looking at it, I think it would have fitted without hitting anything. Would be good to have that confirmed tho. If anyone needs a 250mm pair give me a shout, especially if...

Little bit of slop when pulling away...

That's what I was thinking, but wondering which. It seems logical to think it'd be the torque arm that would have the most effect (although I keep reading that going poly can be hard to get wife approval on) but then I guess it could be g/box or another engine mount... (?)

Little bit of slop when pulling away...

This is very minor, but it's bugging me and I'm wondering if it's just how the car is or whether its a symptom of a worn bush somewhere. Essentially, when pulling away it feels like a bush compresses before energy is transferred into forward movement. It's super minor, but it's there. Which...

How do I pop my 'gear linkage cables' back in..?

Nah that’s not me. I’m not familiar with this car at all, at least I wasn’t. Getting there now, but making all the errors a person who isn’t familiar would make. Battery tray removal was the bit that took the longest! No way I would have figured this out without having seen how it works tho...

How do I pop my 'gear linkage cables' back in..?

Now that I’ve done the job, if you needed to fix this at the roadside - it’s possible. If you can feel your way and your arms fit, then you can reach down and push either or both back into place. Put your arm in below the feed from the airbox to inlet plenum and feel around for a loose collar...

How do I pop my 'gear linkage cables' back in..?

Ok for future searches, it was simpler than the above videos suggest as the bit that popped out was a part that is held into a bit of gearbox, not the actual ball joint connection. To remedy this, you need to: Remove battery Remove acoustic valve Remove air filter and all related piping Remove...

How do I pop my 'gear linkage cables' back in..?

I’m wondering what I’m gonna find, but I guess I’ll need to get the battery and surround out to have a look. I’m wondering if it’s like this vid as it would make sense that I could still just about manage to get into 1st, 2nd and reverse...

How do I pop my 'gear linkage cables' back in..?

I guess it must work like this... If it popped off like that randomly, I wonder what’s to stop it happening again? Has yours been fine ever since?

How do I pop my 'gear linkage cables' back in..?

Is it an under the car job or something I can do from inside? I've lost 5th and 6th, and made 1st and 2nd harder to get into so driving on the motorway in 4th was the best I could do till I got home. No signs of going what-so-ever but I was joining the m'way and shifted through the gears...

    Gearbox crunch - Final straw!

This just happened to me on the way home and now reading that there are cables as well as a stick to select gears, my mind is wondering WTH the french were thinking? Is this normal? Anyway, if anyone can point me to the solution for 'just popping the cables back into their housing' I'd be super...

    Any detailers in here?

That is definitely the higher end, but it's an indoor job that'll take two days so you're paying for the product and all the time involved. It does cost an awful lot more than getting your car cleaned, but having spent the best part of two days doing it myself (with a DA machine) it's definitely...

    Any detailers in here?

Damn, good work. I spent last weekend washing, claying, polishing and sealing mine. My first go so I decided not to do any cutting and there's still very faint occasional spots of sap or something, but I could see the look in my wife's eyes and chose to stay married. It's so much effort that I...

Bought them both, will likely make a choice after looking and deciding for myself. I like the idea of preload but can't imagine how that would be true unless it means the ARB is under tension at relaxed settings. Anyway I'll update the thread once I know so it's stored for future searchers. If...

It’s occurred to me that I have just received anti roll bar links that are 250mm (same p/no as above) for my early 200 cup. Can I use them? If I change both sides I could imagine it would work but can also see how it could cause a knock. Anyone know for sure?
