How do I pop my 'gear linkage cables' back in..?

Awesome! Glad it helped you out dude :thumb:

    Subframe issues

Weird. That seems totally wrong! I’ve not replaced mine so not totally sure what they do but I guess the play in the wishbone returned? Did your painted bolts give any indication of movement or is it just the case those pattern parts have more compliance in? Gotta admit that I’m out of ideas and...

    Subframe issues

You'll have that connector/bush, but it's not connected to the wishbone - it'll be in front of the front horizontal wishbone bolt and you'd see it either when you lower the rad support rail or pull back the wheel arch liner. Mine is pretty much solid, but if they stat to wear I don't know where...

    So I found a problem...

Wow. Amazed someone managed to do that. Must’ve had their weetabix that morning.

    Subframe issues

Did you check once everything was tightened up that there was no play? I decided to take a look at mine and they seem more worn than yours, yet when all done back up the bolt does not move at all. The bush inside the wishbone compresses a little bit with force, but no play. I was wondering if...

    Subframe issues

Are you able to tell if the bolt moves or if it's the bush that is compressing? Or something else that is connected to? Given you have (2) new wishbones and they give the same effect I am pretty stumped at what could solve this, but I don't see how it could be the subframe (or the slotted bolt...

    200 clutch biting point

Decided to consciously check. About half way for me, although it doesn't feel high. Before checking I thought it was low. Car is 10 years old and has 38k on it.

Got a few audio questions (200 Cup 2009)

Answering my own Q's in case it helps others. 1) There is space behind the glove box, there is also space in the doors behind the cards. I went active, so took them out but it was fine before with a few cable ties. 2) It's not that bad, remove glove box and under steering wheel column fascia...

    Wishbones on 197 200

this thread shows slotted too, but in the way they are slotted it doesn’t look like they could allow play unless the bushes themselves were failing. https://clio197.net/threads/front-wishbone-removal.60190/ Have you seen the play yourself? In what way does it allow the wishbone to move?

    Wishbones on 197 200

Ah ok, I stand corrected. The reply you got seemed fairly authoritative so I thought it was done. Interested to discover the answer because the elongated slot doesn’t look like it was worn.

Seeing as this got solved in (they're not meant to look like that) another thread, posting the link here: https://clio197.net/threads/suspension-arms.62497/

Got a few audio questions (200 Cup 2009)

Did the rear quarters and wheel arches and now it’s a lot quieter. Didn’t take much and there’s already foam in there. Boggo standard adaptor worked a treat. Getting the wires in was not too bad once the glove box and under steering wheel dash was off, but the headunit is a pig when you have...

Got a few audio questions (200 Cup 2009)

Is that the link I posted above? If so, sorted. Roof sounds like a good idea and looks pretty easy, but I have a feeling that the floor and bulkhead might be the place to dial out most of the noise I experience. Would you agree with that? Thanks for the reply!

    SUSPENSION ARMS

Can't say I have, but it seems weird that they would be faulty if new. No chance something went awry with fitment or that actually it's another part that isn't the wishbone itself causing the play?

Got a few audio questions (200 Cup 2009)

Answering Q2 after having removed the 'tweeters' and discovered that my Cup has the wires fitted and a little pretend plastic tweeter lives in there. Taking them out was a bit of a challenge, but it seems like you can get a very thin flat edge screwdriver and raise them up by a few mils, then on...

Drop/rotation links and track rod ends ....

Moog are awesome. Used them on my 200sx's too, and also my previous Clios (182/172's). Would deffo buy again, but couldn't find them when I search for the upfront links, so ended up going with Meyle / TRW or genuine.
