Yeah! He's still around, mainly found on facebook this days! Unfortunately Rick had to shoot off early before we finished fitting, so we'll have to arrange another. And thanks! :grinning: Not sure if you've muddled me with someone else, but I've never had a project thread. :tongueclosed:

Met up with a few local MK3s..

Whizzed down the other week to @stevef175 place to get a hand fitting my seat belts which I've had sitting in my room for a year, with help from @Christopher and @Rick Then whizzed out for a few photos! (just taken on my phone) And a photo of the belts now fitted!

Newbie sorry if been asked before.tyre size

Yeah I had to sit and research this for a while with my wheels, going from standard ET68, 7.5j, with 20mm spacers (so like running ET48). Going to ET57, 8j I worked out I needed 5mm spacers for a similar look like this: 68-57 = 11mm (equivalent as a 11mm spacer then). Now had to consider 8j, so...

    Silverstone GP Ft. Recaro leathers

They are, they sit a good couple of inches lower than the Clio Recaros too. Trim as in the leather trim? Yeah bolted in proper on custom made rails, and airbag is hooked up. :relieved:

We have similar seats! Love the red lip on the GP, sets it off well.

    Stud / Nut Conversion

In the past I've literally made a threaded bar on a lathe and chopped it into four on my old Mk2 Clio! :tearsofjoy: That'll be similar to mine, mine are 8J ET57, although I'm running 5mm spacers in these photos so more like ET52.

    Stud / Nut Conversion

Yup! I have no idea why people pay in excess of £100 for a full kit in all honesty, stud is a stud! These are heat treated 10.9 grade which is commonly used in automotive use.

Friendly reminder not to drive like a cock...

It's been like this for a while imo, couple of young guys (twats) round the general area of where I live that have them, ripping them down residential areas.

    Stud / Nut Conversion

I've used watsfieldlimited on eBay for black studs, VW fitment, I had to machine down the non threaded parts for them to fit through Clio wheels though. 75mm front and 68mm rear, which makes them match very closely on protruding length. I'm using Using 243 loctite atm. I daily the car and not...

    The Definitive What Wheels Thread...

Good to know! Ah just cause when I look at one: https://www.kamracing.co.uk/catalog/product/gallery/id/13177/image/24581/ The countersunk holes for locking them onto the hub look to be offset, so I assumed they would need machined again as well, along with the 5x114.3 which would leave little...

    The Definitive What Wheels Thread...

I just did a whole bunch of googling before replying to this! :tearsofjoy: I don't think machining my front rotor/discs will work as they have 2 countersunk screws to keep them on, which would be in the way if I were to machine an offset set of holes on a PCD. In the long run, it would seem...

    The Definitive What Wheels Thread...

I'm currently running 8J with 215/45/17, the wheels I'm running (ATS GTR) are lighter than the standard 7.5 speedlines. My wheels are 8.1kg, standard speedlines were between 9.5-10kg off the top of my head. These wheels have definitely made my turn in a bit sharper, but the car is just a daily...
