It's a shame I didn't receive my yellow RenaultSport stickers before the lacquer, now they'll have to go on top...

Finally some parts came from dipping and painting, been driving with the car ripped apart inside for 10 days now :) I'm really pleased with how it looks. My idea was to add touch of black paint to the lacquer and make it a bit darker, really changed the whole appearance of the fake dipped...

Some goodies arrived at Raptors: Now stitching on the steering wheel and on gearshift has to be changed to match the yellow on the mats, after all like I said, I'm a styler :D In the meantime (hopefully today) I'm waiting for dash trim to come back from hydro-dipping to 'carbon' and spraying...

New OEM standard one goes at around 80€ or so...

A bit early don't you think? Our custom is to do it in the Christmas Eve, not earlier. This year we opted to go for a live tree, silver pine, so it will be delivered somewhere mid December... afterwards they come and pick it up, to plant it somewhere again.

You got the same exact ones? 7.5x17" ET50 Silverstones, and they didn't fit? Strange, as a lot of people are running them on their 197s without problems. Maybe there are several versions of the wheel.

Yes, no issue whatsoever. It's a straight fit, and ET is even better than original, sitting 18mm out, ET50.. like originals with spacers :)

Finally got a chance to open up my own thread about a 197, and not just read about other ones :mask: Clio is fully stock, 2008., and was filled with monstrous amount of Alpine multimedia (someone wants? :D) At the moment, it sits at 115kkm (~75k miles), I'm a third hand owner. Service history...

After sticking them to the calipers, apply a coat (or two) of lacquer over everything. It makes it much more durable.

According to my measurements, 7" unit when fitted would only visually cover half of lower two buttons of the climate control, nothing else. Buttons would still be functional as the display sits a bit in front. Could be a great unit for the 197.

Like I said in the original post, they have a EU warehouse as well. So probably all models can be shipped from there. Edit: I've just asked them, so let's see.

Manufacturer replied - for the Clio RS they recommend the 7" single DIN HU (so, not 8")...

It seems it can be mounted so it doesn't cover the AC display and sit just a mm on top of the start/stop button. Hm, need to take measurements :)

Seems interesting, a 1-DIN non-motorized unit, seems like it could fit well in a 197. Full Android package with satnav, BT, and all other bits and pieces. Apparently all cars with CAN steering wheel controls will work, and controls can be remapped. Comes in 8" and 10.1" sizes...

Anyone knows? Stereo from 200 like pic #3 with a display in 197?
