    Dipstick snapped

Definitely worth buying the stainless dipstick, it's a"twisted" design and fits down the tube a lot better, the plastic one always seemed to want to twist and turn as you pushed it in?

    Exhaust Hole?

As just stayed in my "dipstick" post I may of jumped the gun regarding the Toyo manifold, I removed the PCV valve last night and I think this may of dripped some oil on the manifold so when I started the car tonight after fitting new valve there was quite a lot of smoke although it disappeared...

    Dipstick snapped

Yes that is the correct part number. Unfortunately when I changed my PCV valve I started the car up to check that it made no funny noises only to see smoke bellowing out the engine, looks like the new manifold has blown an hole....gutted (and fed up of owning a Clio 197)

    Dipstick snapped

Quick update on this one, just been to the main dealer pick the new dipstick up and they have given me a stainless steel one, so either they have given me the wrong part or Renault have uprated the part!

    Exhaust Hole?

I could sense/smell fumes in the cabin whilst stationary, also noticed when I opened the driver door I could hear a slight warble, I knew something was not right, got it up on the ramp and the centre silencer had fractured around the weld, week later the other side of the silencer fractured on...

    Belts and Pulleys noise

Yes more or less, it has two hook overs which just need prizing slightly with a screwdriver then pull the pipe off, I have just pulled the pipe off at both ends and cleaned the oil residues away.

Any one able to help me with strange noise from engine please?

You seem to have two noises, the one that sounds like a dead car horn is your PCV valve, see separate thread in Clio 197 area section, your other noise sounds like your manifold is blowing either on the flexis or where it attaches to the block.
