Indeed it would, if I can get the small bits sorted out, I think I’ll keep hold of it for a bit longer, so some more track-days and so on! It’s genuinely a good car in all honesty, just all the niggles take time to get sorted :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What is your preferred engine oil?

Check the oil with the dipstick, then make a decision based on what you see - if you’re hardly doing any miles and it’s not bang on the min I’d be comfortable hanging it out, but it’s a decision ultimately you have to make. Doing oil and filter on stands is fine, have you got a decent pair of...

You had part of the cover break off? Interesting, if you have any pics I'd like to see them. If I keep the car long enough, I'll be changing it at an interval rather than waiting until it dies.

What is your preferred engine oil?

When was your last serviced? Maybe it's worth treating the car to an oil and filter service - a kit is around £35 delivered from Renault Parts Direct, genuine filter and ELF Oil!

Hence why it's going to go over to ED. There is no doubt whatsoever that the flatspot is there, even after a remap. The timing was out when it was mapped, so it could be now it's corrected it's highlighted the problem, though we'll see! Was considering selling the car, but now set on painting...

Thanks! Insurance due soon... hoping it'll be under £1500 this year! I've thought a lot about the megane conversion, but I love the revs. It's been mapped at RSTuning but trying to sort out a date to take it down to Engine Dynamics, it's had timing and few other bits sorted since I've bought it...

So clutch and manifold all done. A friend who has done a fair few helped (well I helped him). Took around 3-3.5 hours to do both, and that was going fairly steady, and included a break for lunch. The clutch had some life left, but the cover... it was properly fked, part had broken off, which...

    Exhaust flexi split

I wouldn't advise leaving it for a long long time, but I left mine for a few months with no real side effects...

Another trackday booked, Snetterton on the 16th. Replacing the clutch tomorrow morning, got another genuine manifold with decent flexis too which I'm going to put on whilst I'm at it. New fluid and general check over too.

@Big Ben no complaints with the tyres at all - though I don't suspect my driving is challenging them just yet. Time for another update - not too much to mention really - service using ELF 5w40, Genuine filter. Bedford track day. Moved flat. Starting a new job on Monday. Booked on to Blyton...

    Tyre shine recommendations please

Meguiars Tyre Gel is incredible, a bottle lasts a _long_ time too, it's also pretty cheap. Works reasonably well on trim also.

    Serious judder when pulling away.

Recently when pulling away fast, there's a lot of judder. I've bought inserts for the mounts, but I genuinely believe it's clutch related. Has anyone had anything similar? All ideas welcome. Tobie

    Spending Money abroad.....pre-paid cards ?

Revolut or Monzo are both very good. I personally use Monzo, though Revolut is possibly better for your use.
