RS200 Cambelt change, dephaser replacement yes or no?

I got mine done, figured I didn't know how well it had been treated (with regards to oil changes etc) to an extent - so for the sake of £90ish I just got it done. Least you know it's done, and you will be looking after the car so unlikely to need doing again.

Little bit of slop when pulling away...

I’d say the lower dogbone and the torque arm are most important. The lower dogbone does seem to wear quite a bit, a new OEM part would probably be well worthwhile if you’re worried about vibrations. You can buy febi dogbones for ~£25-30 which are OEM quality/maybe even OEM.

    Parts list for Gearbox rebuild

Hmm, I may have to just take a chance on one then. Just worried I'm going to end up with one that's not quite thin enough to get under the bearing.

    Parts list for Gearbox rebuild

Yeah, makes sense. Do you know what brand/size? The couple I’ve got isn’t able to fit and I don’t want to randomly be buying them in the hopes they fit. Much appreciated @Northloopcup !

    Parts list for Gearbox rebuild

Hey @Northloopcup sorry to bother you once again! I've got my box apart now :) all good, third looks like the only problematic gear so not all bad news. Was after a little advice (really appreciate it) - pulling the bearing off the input shaft - what tool do you use? A bearing separator/the...

    Lewis's Clio 200 Cup

Are you using a decent, impact socket? Some torque can be lost through a thinner walled socket so.

    Lewis's Clio 200 Cup

I've never had my Milwaukee impact fail to undo a wheel nut/bolt. What torque are the impacts you're using rated to?

I can't confirm the length off the top of my head. I found Starline items fit (got from euros and carparts4less).

    Burning Oil at High Revs

A litre in an afternoon seems like a fair bit - mine doesn't burn much oil at all, even on a track day. It might be worth getting a compression test - to check all cylinders are roughly even. I will leave someone more qualified to say anymore.

I saw you're booked on Spa with Opentrack - look forward to seeing the car there. I'm going, and am planning on visiting the ring to watch VLN after.

    TDC/Crank sensor damage root cause

Great post - the previous owner to me actually replaced the crank sensor on my car. Later the clutch was dragging just slightly - it turns out the cover broke off slightly - which more and more people are discovering so it seems. It's worth getting it replaced as soon as you realise to help...

Anti rotation links - where from?

Starline ones are the right size (I bought them). CarParts4Less is cheaper than euros by a long way.

carparts4less is the cheapest, along with eBay (for approx £10 a side) - can provide links if needed.

    tcw's Clio 197

More recent update - picked up some B14's off a friend that was switching over to Gaz Golds. The driveshafts have been seized in the hubs since I bought the car, we've worked around it previously but with no intention to sell anytime soon it made sense to just get it sorted once and for all. It...
