It's the bottom one that's the main one - between the engine and subframe. I also had to take a section of the subframe lip off. I've changed the upper mount and lower mount but the manifold was sitting too close to the subframe lip for me to be happy with.

Sweet I do like the GTD although maybe not the seat pattern. We have a Mk6 1.6 and it's a good solid car. Has the emissions problem but just leaving it - the fix has ruined a lot of cars.

I couldn't fit mine on with a toyosport - the manifold was too close. Had some manifold heat blanket spare so wrapped the starter motor in that.

Yes pretty easy to do - use a hair dryer to help take them off. Then white spirit after to remove any glue.

Didn't know that. I thought it was just Diesel but see Petrols can have them for emissions.

Me too - same issues as Krash for the fit. Also the pulls are a bit flimsy. I'm going to get fabric pulls too I think.

Liking that subframe arm

Daft question but how do you press the old one out? Can you get to the top of that. I'm sure my pinch bolts are pretty rusty. Wonder if its worth swapping them out now or just wait till I have to touch the hubs.

How hard was it to remove the hub carrier from the inner part? Are you going to replace the pinch bolt with a bolt? What condition is your support in that bolts to the carrier? They seem to seriously rust.
