Honestly there is no helping some people.
Your cable is shit.
Buy the right length of this https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/battery-cable-25mm-flexy-red-per-metre-bcf-25r and get Merlin to crimp terminals onto the end for you. Guarantee it will work.

Maxogen from Sweden thanks @Gear :thumb:
Carbon foot plate from Poland
Steering Wheel and Boss from France
All arrived on the same day even although they were ordered on different days.
You need bigger than 4 guage. It's fine for wiring an AMP in but not for a battery in the boot.
No need to run an earth cable through the car. Just earth to a good point in the boot.
Where did you connect the positive to where the battery used to be at the front?
Got everything ready to connect the battery up again.
The cut off switch was hidden quite nicely in the battery box before but it probably makes sense to have it more accessable anyway.
Getting the Clio ready for its Maxogen.
The red fuse / battery connector is such a pain in these cars.
Also bought a steering wheel and boss and a carbon foot plate so I can get rid of the front carpets and foam.
Did a tracknight at Knockhill tonight. First time going in reverse which was very weird after going the normal way round all this time.
Here are a few vids:
I had a trackday tonight had tried removing the airbox silencer valve.
Don't know if it was that or the toyosport/oreca but I had a massive flatspot - it seemed to lack power further down the rev range and was sluggish to pick up.
I have put the airbox silencer back on when I got back home...
I've not tried it so this isn't from experience but I think it would just stop keyless entry working as well as keyless start. So the card would need to be in the slot each time. My battery died recently in the card and this was the result too.
If you can't get that seperated the other way to do it is to remove the rad support then undo the front and rear bolts for the wishbones and just leave the wishbone attached to the hub.
