    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Ha ! Yea: If the Ceramic itself was even £100 - another £100 for even 2 days labour didn’t sound ‘quite’ enough :tearsofjoy: I told the wife mine was gonna be £150 when she asked. I’m just desperately hoping she don’t now want hers done

    Too Much or Worth It?

These guys are near me. Always have some nice stuff in stock - and the rides the owner has in his driveway are often pretty swish too. I’ve been drooling over a white 911 of some sort for ages; if I go past his house on the way home. There’s also a rumour a ‘friend’ of mine is seriously...

    Big Bens non Clio

Ducts look great. You should get a full spec-sheet up; to remind me, everyone - and possibly even you; of all you've done to this car (If you've not done so already). I'd bet you couldn't even remember everything without a bit of thought...... Have fun Sat.

Do I need to replace the dephaser with the cambelt?

Supposedly the 197 / 200 dephasers are all but bullet-proof. Like all here though, i replaced mine with genuine Renault parts at the same time timing belt, aux belt, cam seals, water pump etc was done. Although you're already quite far in financially if you're having timing belt done; to skimp...

    H&R Spring alternatives

Yea I’m on stock non-Cup 200 dampers. The very dampers these Springs were designed around I believe. And I love the very noticeable difference / improvement. ‘Don’t think’ mines a Pro kit. And LMAO Suj

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

LMFAO. I’d say to do a decent prep (To get good visual end appearance, best adhesion of Ceramic and therefore longevity of product) is £400 minimum from my talking to 3 local guys. More prep, base layers, wheels done etc adds to that of course. Oh and yours; in lovely Albi would look AWESOME...

    H&R Spring alternatives

Couldn’t agree any more. For road use, for an old fogey like me the Eibachs Rock. Firmed up the ride on mine, reduced the body roll and with zero crashyness. Perfect for my road use I’d say. If I was heading on track they wouldn’t be the best bet / firm enough I’d fully imagine and I’d look at...

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

A small bottle of CQuartz is £100 for example. I’m not sure if that will be enough for a couple of coats on paintwork and wheels (?). Let alone the costs of at least a couple of days labour machine polishing, having the wheels done etc. I’m not knocking anyone or anything here, or pretending...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Naked or the newer 'faired / sports' version ? Front end of the sports version isn't the prettiest. But either are ridiculous value. I don't see how you could have newer / more modern fun for less money on two, three or 4 wheels ? And all the reviews i've read agree. Between holidays, houses...

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

That’s a great price. Back then or not ! Horses for courses. Depends on what you want out of it. And like anything in life - chasing the last 10% gets expensive. Plenty here spent way in excess of 4 figures on coil overs, custom springs, 4 corner weighting, geo etc. I chose £150 springs

Where’s the ‘unlike’ button ? Sounds like the Clio has finally beaten you down.... :-( What’s next ?

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Thanks very much for the info Peter. Insightful :grinning: Just paint and wheels being done here. I need something to do myself of a sunny weekend !

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

From researching: Prices go from £300 (Basic single stage polish + lower grade Ceramic) in these parts to £2500 in London. For essentially what is the same type of service / quality. My local guy is quoting £695 for 3 stage polish and I think wheel faces only are either included or are £50...

Clio 197 Ultra Red 2007 from Finland. April, time to start driving.

Nice update Antti. Glad to hear it fired up with zero issues. But hey: where's the Clio pics ? :sunglasses:

    Hybrid Megane trophy

For sure ! No different to anything. Your's does get a slightly 'harder' life than most road cars. Offset by more regular maintenance, more refreshing of remotely worn parts etc and generally much more love than 90% of cars on the road of course. Glad to hear it. It's certainly come a long-long...

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Worked yesterday morning from 6.00am and was too pooped for anything in the afternoon. Worked today too until 1pm; and had so much planned. Until it unleashed an almighty hail-storm down..... Did manage to remove the rear quarter RenaultSport decals - i know you've all been secretly smirking...

    Track day tuition

We all get a insular at times ref Clio's. But the ST is supposed be excellent from every review i've read. And with a few mod;s and one of the "hundreds" of remaps available out there - is supposed to be a cheap weapon.
