also a second possibly stupid question, as I only need the drivers side doing, is it possible for me to take out my drivers seat send it off to get repaired and put the passenger side in the place temporarily? just so i can still drive the car?

Welcome and the spoiler isn't part of the cup pack itself but is a optioned extra but could have been fitted later on. as I thought mine came out of the factory with the spoiler as it had the cup pack but finding old threads showed me that is was bought and fitted after at some point

Have read a few times of the starter motors getting too hot from exhaust manifold if your don't have the heat shield round the starter although I've been running without for a few months now and hasn't had any problems. Think RPD can do starters for £20 if you don't mind a used one

I am shooting a bit in the dark here but have you checked the voltage across the fuse when trying to turn the car over? if it gets nothing then voltage across fuse to earth as maybe a break in the wire somewhere?

Yeah you're having the exact same symptoms mine was having. But if you opened up that little box and moved the plastic flap at the bottom to see the rest of the fuses at the bottom to check the starter signal fuse I have no idea.

This was the exact problem on mine. the fuse is in the box to the side of the battery underneath another little plastic flap

Okay so all of that leads to believe I do have them although I was a bit unsure with all the washer jet talk. Going a little off topic do you have a recommendation of the best bulbs to fit? I feel like the lights mine has don't light up the road as well as the other cars I've driven

The non-cup models come with grey calipers instead of the red. if he's charging for a bearing on the rear you defo getting ripped off as the bearings for the rear are in the discs and new discs come with bearings. for the caliper you wanted 440114564R or 440011104R (i have no idea if there is...
