Good question, I bought one in the summer and when fitting it there was a large gap round it :( put it back in its packet and haven't tried again since.
Very good question Gus - I wanted to do this myself but was going to wrap in gloss back vinyl so I could have a go at home and keep the cost down.
I do know that last time I had my front bumper off I noticed 2 rivets at the top of the larger black section.

I had exactly the same issue on my yellow 200. I measured everything up and knew they weren't going to far through and hitting the hub.
So I basically put it down to rust and crap at the bases of the hole in the hub.
I therefore simply retapped the holes with m14 X 1.5 thread and a bit of wd40...

When I fitted my sprint I used some of the very strong VHB 3M double sided tape and the original 4 holes left my cup spoiler and 4 decent screws. This way I can easily swap and change spoilers.
DONT just use the tape on its own!
