C3RS200 Bilstein B14 vs CUP Pack stiffness

Well just dug up some info today: Looks like progressive springs on B14 are wound the way, softer part acts just like helper spring and car rides always on the harder part in normal conditions. Interesting. Wonder if this is true on the clio kit as well, but I guess it will be the same.

C3RS200 Bilstein B14 vs CUP Pack stiffness

Because CUP rears are 4.5kg so really nearly the same :) But CUP fronts are only 4kg, compared to 7kg of yellowspeeds. I think B14 supposed to be 6kg front and rear, but progressive.

C3RS200 Bilstein B14 vs CUP Pack stiffness

I see. I need to set it up a bit higher and with less camber (say tarmac rallye setup).

C3RS200 Bilstein B14 vs CUP Pack stiffness

And how do you find it dynamically? I guess you have road spring rates 7 and 4kg. That seems very soft at the rear compared to anything other. Isn't it numb at turn in?

C3RS200 Bilstein B14 vs CUP Pack stiffness

Thanks... well the more info I get, the more I am afraid I will throw out my money for the suspension I will end up not liking lol :D If its not better to refresh cup dampers and slam it on HR springs :D If its good for NS, then its good for me :))) For the record, those are some roads I ride...

C3RS200 Bilstein B14 vs CUP Pack stiffness

I know there are a few threads on this topic (I have read them all multiple times), but quite old. Now many more ppl run B14 on their Clios. I am about to buy new suspension for my cuppacked C3RS200. I am torn in between KONI yellow wirh HR springs and Bilstein B14 Coilovers. Every single...

    GW 200 CUP (clubsport->racecar->v2)

Wonder how you will like rear axle spacers. I did not like them when fitted alone (without front spacers). It was more understeery. But you have coilovers so probably can mitigate this a bit with settings.

    Wheel spacers thoughts

Well, that was the original spec AFAIK. In the real world, ppl run what they have :D

Is that R3 MAXI? They run ET 41, R3 ACCESS run ET 51 and i think they have the same hub as road car.

Pole Position Seat Mount / Sliders / Harnesses

Shame that neither pure motorsport, nor Supreme one has a thread and strengthening for original seatbelt buckle.

Pole Position Seat Mount / Sliders / Harnesses

Well, just be sure, that it will hold (inner buckle) in case of crash. That is why I have used FIA nut with reinforcement plate. Not just drill the console.

Pole Position Seat Mount / Sliders / Harnesses

Those product photos are for different cars. I have exactly this one: https://www.sandtler24.de/Sandtler-Einbaukonsole-Typ-34-34527l They sell it under Sandtler brand, but there was sparco sticker on it.

Pole Position Seat Mount / Sliders / Harnesses

cca 70mm in height I have drilled a hole and backed it with FIA 65x65mm harness plate . Fits in the subframe perfectly. Thread is different (7-16"), but I have found some suitable bolt from other car harness. Or you can use schorth one. Height difference between passenger and driver is now...

Pole Position Seat Mount / Sliders / Harnesses

I have bought sparco subframe and standard FIA sidemounts. It still did not put the seat inline with steering whel compeltely, so I needed to drill another holes. (As well as hole for inner 3point harness lock)

    Wheel spacers thoughts

Having rear wider, than front feels crappy and understeery for me. It was also mentioned few times on german cliors forum.

    Wheel spacers thoughts

I have made some observation on my clio. At first I have added 10mm rear stub axle spacer on each side. Car started to understeer a bit. Mitigated by added more presure to rear tires compared to front. It made car bit unstable in higher speed line changes (like high speed moose test - 130kph or...

UltraRed 200 FF CUP - Weekend warrior

Quite a long time since last update.... After rear brakes have been done, it was time fot fronts. - Brembo HC - Ferodo DS2500. To complement the rear 10mm axle spacers, I have added 16mm HR hubcentric spacers to front. Stance looks much better now and I like how it transformed driving too...
