Those are 7" wide so to me at least 225 is a bit wide for them. Better with some 8s.

If slim weights won't work I'm sure you'd find somewhere to fit them, I've seen much tighter wheel/caliper clearance before.

I love fitting smaller wheels to reduce weight and improve gearing. So when I got my 200 I looked into fitting 16s but here didn't seem to be any evidence of them fitting. I had a wheel off at Dad's earlier and he had a set of 16" Team Dynamics Pro Race wheels. They weren't the right stud...

Clio is playing support car this weekend as we're at Cadwell in the slow MX5. When you've only got 87bhp you need all the help you can get... Fit like a glove, and the parcel shelf went down! You wouldn't get those in a GT3!! :tearsofjoy:

Not sure if it's wishful thinking but I'm wondering if they may have a slightly less harsh ride. The Eibachs are progressively wound but I've only seen a single rate for oem. For me the adjustable Konis are the more appealing proposition, they use the same damping in the KW type 2 so for...

Sorry to pull this slightly off topic, is it just the later top mounts that you can't get the Konis for or the 200 Cup chassis? Could you use the earlier top mount if so?

I'm in a similar situation Paul, despite trying to avoid spending any (more) money I'm drawn to Koni adjustables and I think from my research it looks like the Eibachs have the best ride. I would be very interested to hear from someone who has put Eibachs on a Cup chassis with the Cup shocks...

To be honest I'm a RWD convert! :tearsofjoy: I had classic Minis for a few years, then mk2 CRXs so knew how much fun you could have with a hot hatch. But once I tasted RWD with the S2000 and then the MX5s on track I must admit, there is just more enjoyment to be had from driving them around and...

I paid £340 delivered which I know is well priced. I understand the cost price has gone up since but if you have a look on eBay, Facebook and the usual tyre sites you might get some for £360-380

They're good tyres on the road too, I would say they're better than the contisports in all conditions bar properly wet with standing water. They're likely slightly louder but I honestly didn't notice any difference in noise when I switched from budget road tyres.
