    Engine under tray

Not just about increasing drag, could also effect how the front end aero works. The new Civic Type R has had a lot of aero work put into it, look how many undertrays have been fitted to improve the airflow under the car http://www.tegiwaimports.com/blog/underneath-2015-civic-type-r/

200 edc owners might find this interesting (dyno result on an edc)

I think a standard one went on the rollers at Dynodaze lastweek end and made just over 200 edit, made 204bhp with decat, Miltek catback, panel filter and FMIC

    unknown stse of tune....

There are 2 torque links, the one on top to the left of the engine and also one under then engine (also know as the dogbone), this goes from the rear of the block onto part of the cross-member. Both of these try to resist the torque reaction of the engine when trying to accelerate. The engine...

    Engine under tray

As has been said, removing the undertray will increase drag. It is also likely to make the rear diffuser less effective too, so handling at higher speeds could be affected.

Perfect car but belts not done... Advice please!

Whats wrong with hitting the limiter? The limiter is there to stop any damage being caused.

Perfect car but belts not done... Advice please!

Just buy it and drive it home without worrying, for it to go you would literally be the unluckiest person in the world

    Engine under tray

Do you really think a car manufacturer in modern times would fit something that would honestly cause a car to run hot? More so on a sports model which has been designed with track work in mind? Also have you thought about what happens when the car is actually moving? Air at 30-100mph moves quite...

    unknown stse of tune....

Mapping isn't required for a s/steel manifold, mine works quite well! Pulled 192bhp after fitting the manifold.

Perfect car but belts not done... Advice please!

Buy it and get the cambelt done when you can, no need to baby it as such. Mine has done 75k and is 8 years old with no obvious signs the belt has been changed, I hammer it about. I have inspected the belt and it doesn't look perished but due to no history it will be getting done soon.

Insurance for Clio 200 hillclimb/trackday car

Give REIS a call. They specialise in motorsport stuff but do cover road based cars too. I had a track car covered by them, agreed value with no questions asked too

    Should i be concerned

Not a competition, but most people would travel at least an hour for a car more so for the right 2nd hand car

    Should i be concerned

Wolverhampton to Liverpool? That is just over an hour? That is no distance at all to get a car. I usually end up travelling far to get cars, Nottingham to London twice, Nottingham to north east twice too

    Should i be concerned

Plenty of Irish folk come over here to buy cars. One came over to Nottingham to buy my brothers MR2 which was only worth about 2K, no problems at all.

    Advice - recent 197 purchase

Parts which will probably need replacing at this sort of age are the track rod ends, ARB drop links and the stabiliser links. Main suspension bushes don't seem to be to much of a problem, the Powerflex inserts on the upper and lower engine torque links should stop a bit of engine movement and...

    toyosport manifold, powerflex engine mounts

Chris pretty much answered all your questions, It doesn't make much/any difference to noise and it won't need remapping. I have the powerflex upper and lower torque links, vibration is fine. No noticeable difference when driving, some times you get a little more vibration at idle though.

    Aftermarket Exhaust Advice

I think the standard system does give off a fair amount of noise. I let a friend have a play in mine and I could hear it from some way off

Powerflex upper and lower Engine mounts

The vibrations calm down pretty quickly, I don't really notice them now. The job to replace both should take about an hour in total. Lower is 2 bolts, although you may need to take the lower brace off to get access to push the mount back in though.

    Anyone fitted this manifold?

Yeah looks exactly the same as a Toyo. How bad the knocking is depends on the state of the OEM mounts. They are probably shot if your flexis have gone though
