    Drive shaft?

Mounts probably aren't perfect. I've put a powerflex insert in the lower, but the car is 100% standard otherwise (well apart from a stainless exhaust). The engine doesn't feel like it's rocking about loads. Don't think the gearbox has had anything done.

    Drive shaft?

Ok, got a bit of an issue with my 197 and wanted some advice... I'm getting a vibration through the car under acceleration, from around 45-70mph. It seems worse if you're in a higher gear when the engine is labouring more. If you sit at a steady speed in that range, it's not nearly so severe...

    MK3 200 VS MK4 200/220

I drove a 200 at the Nürburgring a few years ago. I wasn't a huge fan overall, but I think that was mostly down to the gearbox. It's a bit more of a grown-up car than the MK3. The turbo engine and auto box make it feel a bit more refined and less frantic. That's a good thing in the eyes of...

    Aftermarket Head Unit Fitting

Nope. Is that the trick? Does that allow you to reach the wires from the back?

    Aftermarket Head Unit Fitting

Am I missing an obvious trick here? I've just attempted to fit an aftermarket head unit into my car and, thanks to the 'box' that it effectively sits in behind the dash, there isn't any room for the wiring? I bought an adaptor so that the steering column controls still work, but there doesn't...

Crank sensor popped into my head as have seen them get taken out before. Worth checking I guess

    200 spacers

It is worth noting that, if you fit hubcentric spacers, it isn't really any different to fitting wider offset wheels in reality...

Leaf springs? 20 years wasn't that long ago :tearsofjoy:

    Rough clio with strange mot

Broken springs is a funny one I think. If you go back 20-odd years, I never really remember anyone ever talking about springs snapping, but it seems quite common on stuff from the late 90s onwards. I don't know if it's because cars tend to be a bit firmer now, but they seem to break springs for...

    Rough clio with strange mot

Welcome. In my experience, owning any kind of R.S. Clio usually means fixing faults as soon as you buy it :tearsofjoy: They do require careful maintenance and I think a lot of people who buy them just don't realise. I bought mine a week ago and it certainly needs a few bits doing. Hopefully...

    Engine/Gearbox Mounts

It's interesting how there are so many different perceptions on what is a lot and what isn't a lot of vibration. I think I will start with the dogbone and see how to go from there. Cheers guys!

    Engine/Gearbox Mounts

Thanks mate, bit clearer now. So is it similar to 1*2 land, where the lower torque mount (20) is the one most people put poly into?
