Very nice video mate, excellent driving.

Ktec Manifold fitted remap required ?

I'm genuinely surprised that the car drives fine. Mine had a totally noticeable flatspot around 3k rmp and even mapping didn't iron it out completely. Maybe there was a flatspot there to begin with due to the blowing manifold? I would definitely map the car just to be on the safe side.

Yiannis' Albi Blue R27 - Toning down...

sh1t was that you Carl? I didn't even realise it, I was in the hunt for clio197.net members but clearly I didn't do a great job, gutted:(

Yiannis' Albi Blue R27 - Toning down...

Sorry Peter just saw that! It was an open pitlane, I tend to avoid sessions because everyone goes out at a specific time and therefore it's too busy for my liking. Definitely, it's heavier and adds to the feel.

Well, I know now! Thanks mate.

    Jimmy's Deep Black R27 no.243 - Goodbye kid, it's been a blast.

It is strong indeed Johnny but the problem here is location rather than anything. I love the Clio as much as I loved it first day and in its current state is totally personalised to my driving style and needs. Also, the prices of these cars are now so low that you don't really get much back so I...

Yiannis' Albi Blue R27 - Toning down...

Cheers guys,it was indeed a lovely day! Peter do you reckon kerbs have anything to do with it? The whole tyre split across the surface that led me to believe that it had to be the age. I'll upload a pic.

Yiannis' Albi Blue R27 - Toning down...

No idea mate, I always check the car after a session and was genuinely surprised to see this. Maybe it is age related to be honest because there was enough tread for sure. I've had them for quite some time as most of the track days I had were wet lol so never really had time to use them...

Yiannis' Albi Blue R27 - Toning down...

A few pictures from Rockingham track day with Renault Sport. An absolutely lovely day and I can not praise Renault and the organisers enough. A great selection of cars, lovely bunch of people, ideal weather, fantastic track etiquette, free breakfast, lunch and bottomless coffee/tea. The fact...

    Jimmy's Deep Black R27 no.243 - Goodbye kid, it's been a blast.

Jimmy, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm in total sync with you mate. These cars in order to be appreciated - and therefore for the love levels to stay - are only meant to be driven the right way. Using them as commute cars is far from ideal and to be honest I'm really surprised you kept it...

    Clio 200 vs Lotus Elise

Cossers, I'm not the one who would fire personal attacks on a forum, not sure why you saw it this way, either way it was not my intention. This is a discussion forum and we don't have to agree as such, all the above are all personal opinions from someone who spent 15 years amongst Lotus...

    Spring rates

AST on 5100s are using 110N/mm and 80N/mm rear and front respectively and it's perfect for the track without making it undriveable on the road. I had it for many years back when my Clio was also a daily! That's not to say it was not stiff. I'll be selling my kit soon if you are interested as...

    Clio 200 vs Lotus Elise

For some reason you are still factoring in the appreciation factor of the Porsche product. My point is Lotus pricing and not what car is better for your money out there. A mate sold his Gallardo and bought a 350 fully loaded back in 2017 (let's be frank, not many options to spec up back then)...

    Clio 200 vs Lotus Elise

Not at all, never really said that. I did state above that anyone spends their funds as they see fit. What I did say was that I can't personally see how anyone would spend £90k for a 380 cup with rusty bits. The appreciation example is not really relevant here either, we are talking list price...

    Clio 200 vs Lotus Elise

You are not wrong there mate but I might have not put it correctly on the above post. I love the V6 don't get me wrong, it's a beast. My mate had it and I drove it at the track (Silverstone) and road (Alps). No two ways about it, the car is awesome. What I was trying to say is that the normal V6...

    Clio 200 vs Lotus Elise

A bit off topic but what I don't like with the late V6s (350, 380, cup non cup, millions variants already) is the price as IMO these cars are simply NOT special enough to warrant the asking price. I mean...Lotus' most expensive car would be on the region of £50k up until yesterday. They now...

    Clio 200 vs Lotus Elise

Nice post @Walker2686 Echo the above, 2 massively different cars and lots of Elises out there. S1, S2 rover, s2 toyota, s2 toyota supercharged, s3 220, s3 220 cup, s3 250 cup and so on. I've spent so much time around Lotus cars without actually owning one but I've driven quite a lot and I've...

Albi Blue 200 >> BMW E46 Track Car

Fantastic post Tom. I really like what you did here, the transformation of that car is immense. It looks and sounds awesome. Turn in and general setup seem great as well. Top marks.

    Do I have an LSD?

Hi Matt, that 100% confirms that you don't have an LSD. If you had, both wheels would be turning towards the same direction.
