Which gearbox oil are you using ? (2017)

I used 500ml of Castrol Syntrans and the rest Honda MTF The Honda stuff as I’ve always found it to improve day to day gearchance, especially when cold. A bit of syntrans so there’s some synthetic oil in there for track use that will hold up better at the likely extreme temps. Worth also...

MX2000 dyno went well yesterday, numbers lined up pretty well with the previous roller interface run and showed what I hoped in terms of hub numbers. Hub dynos are quite different and will tend to read lower than a roller interface would calculate whp as. For this reason you have to use an...

Yes, that's it Peter, the 'Sport' kit with the adjustable shocks and matched -30/-30mm H&R springs. I'm hoping it performs miracles both improving the ride quality and dynamics... I will report back!!

I do have a spare plate on retention... M7RBO might find its way onto it. Have you seen the new Z4 though!... Ooof! If ever there's a way to make the previous generation car look old!!! :sob:

It's been all go on the house front recently but plenty going on with the cars this week! On Sunday I put the new winter wheels on the Z4 and swapped the kidney grilles and lower grille surrounds for black items whilst I was at it. Bit of a win as BMW wanted £285 fitted and wanted to remove...

    ideal suspension setup

All depends on budget, how much would you like to spend? And is this a road and/track car?

Smaller centre box in standard exhaust system

Rather a late reply Luke, sorry! I'm just revisiting this as the first attempt didn't go to plan, there were two diameters of pipe to deal with across that which the previous owner replaced and the original system. Meant it wasn't the quick DIY job I had hoped and didn't want to spend extra...

Appreciate the positive feedback gents and I'm so pleased my enthusiasm translates on video. Some feedback from a previous video was that the delivery was dry, so I made an effort to capture my thoughts whilst I was still buzzing! I've been considering a private plate for the MX2000 for...

Can I calculate toe change before fitting springs?

Thanks for the input Tom, trying to piece it together, I have got the matrix saved for camber and toe effect from the different shims. Do you know how much lower than OEM Cup suspension youR settings are or is that what you meant by Cup?

    Suspension and flat spot

I don't think I can help too much, but since buying mine I've found a number of problems that have cost time and money to sort out properly. I'm doing everything properly though and even though it's costing more than I had expected initially, I know it will be worth it. They really are...

Can I calculate toe change before fitting springs?

I'm having some Koni shocks and matched H&R springs fitted shortly and would like to reduce the rear toe in at the same time. I'm aware lowering will add yet more toe in, so I'm hoping to calculate in advance what shims I'll need. Or is less of an exact science than I thought? I'm not...

    ADO8R

As has been said they're excellent tyres, really pretty good in both dry and wet. It's clear to see from the pattern that they're not ideal for hooning through lakes though. If the OP doesn't need dry track use out of them I would heartily recommend Toyo R1Rs. They're truly excellent road/wet...
